Branson, MO Topix |Dollywood |#24 | Mar 29, 2006 Well Mike, Diversions won't help a weak argument. A friend of mine in North Carolina sent me this link this week to look at. I am following up on some thoughts she had you had posted. For the record Mr Mike, I am a journalist and have been for more than 20 years. I have an interest in the amusements industry. I am from Webster Groves, Missouri (St. Louis). I put my name in the name slot as you requested. I was unclear - I thought "name" was the subject of the thread like every other message board around the world. I don't really care if you call your self Bozo, it fits you better anyway. The bottom line on this whole thread is that you don't have any idea what you are talking about. From the smallest allegation in regard to stolen cars (The Sevier Co Sheriff's department's records shows ONE in the last TWO years) to the largest one regarding Dollywood's ownership (partnership with Dolly Parton in the State Incorporation record)you are all wrong. I provided sources you provided nothing except bravado and rumour. As an aside - where do you get off physically threatening another person. Do you know that thanks to a January 2005 law passed and signed by the President you have committed felony? Anonymous email and message boards are now covered under the threat, harassment and stalking law. Continuing, I saw you suggested another poster call Mr. Parish. I think I will do that. I would assume he can not say anything if there is pending litigation as you say. I am sorry to hear your wife had a tough go of it at a theme park. Seasonal workers often work very long and hot hours at theme parks - it is just better at "Family owned parks" like Holiday world, Kennywood, Dollywood and Knobles, they all pay more than minimum wage and have unusually long retention rated of their employees. An article in Fun World in '03 or '04 chronicled employee benefits - all of those parks mentioned had 401K for seasonal workers and some kind of insurance or healthcare at their parks. My experience is you won't find that for an hourly employee at a retailer or a food establishment or even at most manufacturing businesses. I'm not sure why you mentioned your kid being busted for drugs. Sorry it ruined the family life but perhaps he shouldn't have bought the drugs in the first place? Just a thought. |
