Car collides with bear near Waterloo

A bear ran into a road near Waterloo, got hit by a car and ran off into nearby woods, according to the Seneca County sheriff's department. via Ithaca Journal

i've seen alot of bears in the mountains of ny,
i'd be more likely to believe those sightings --
in the north coubtry . tho i know they do go elsewhere and live other places, how come there aren't more sightings reported, or pics? will all the cell phones with picture taking capabilities..ya'd think there'd be identifiable pics,eh?

it's a smart bear, it stayed in Waterloo and not in Seneca Falls where the people are so gnarly they scare the animals away
