Mother of 1985 murder victim in Ovid pleas for state's help

Aug 13, 2009 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Post-Standard

It's been 24 years since the brutal murder of Kristin O'Connell, but the latest twist -- the refusal of the state to allow a Dutch laboratory to test physical evidence for DNA -- has left her mother, Phyllis O'Connell, frustrated.

The story of Kristin O'Connell is heart breaking.
This case needs to be reopened and solved. Ovid is a wonderful community with down to earth friendly special people. This case is a cloud hanging over the community. Someone knows something that will help solve this case. Its time for them to come forward .

No one will come forward because to do so it will implicate one of there friends or family members.Small community very tight knit with a lot of nasty secrets. The case is open and is being investigated at this time .The victim was a wounderfull young lady who made a big mistake by coming to the dirt bag town of Ovid in the first place. She was suppose to be there visiting people who were suppose to be her friends. They werent her friends .they betrayed her and let her go missing for a very long time before saying anything to anyone about her disapperance. They are and still should be looked at as the prime suspects in this case. But then you have to look at who these peoples parents are.And what connection they had to local law enforcement. The case stinks badly. OVID NY YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!

nobody said hes an amazing citizen but he runs his place of employment and has held down that job for over 10 years. no being the best guy in the world is far from being a murderer. if there was any thought or shred of evidence that scott was the guy than hed of been charged with the damn crime. like he was for the other crime dummy!

too bad the two detectives that handled the case were such sloppy drunks and missed a key piece of evidence that would have solved this many years ago.
