Woman killed in wreck with semi on Interstate 65

A woman was killed in a wreck around 11:45 a.m. Monday near the Austin exit at Interstate 65.

Does anyone know what happened? I was sitting in traffic at the 29 mile marker yesterday while they were taking care of this...I just wanted to know what happened?

Traveling through the area Monday, I was unfortunately backed up in the after-math of this accident. I am saddened to hear the news of a fatality. I had a feeling that it was a serious accident. After waiting for about 45 minutes, at the time over eight miles of travelers included, I turned back across the median and went to Scottsburg (31) and rerouted to reach my destination in Illinois. After realizing the tradgedy, I am just relieved my family and I made it on our trip safe! My heart goes out to the family of the victim.

thanks Steve, funny I am also from Bloomington Indiana! Coincidence huh? We finally turned around and went through the Henryville exit to 31 to come home. Thanks for the link, wow that was horrible. I wish her family well in the difficult days.

I know this is old, but I am searching for news off a fatality Southbound on I65 around Flomaton @ 1 or 2 pm. white ford explorer
