You are so full of yourself. Maybe we do need laws like this because there are people like you out there and this maybe the only protection your kids get because we can't fix stupid.

Well they made Hester Pyrne wear a big "A" on her forehead. The catholics in 1237 burned the last of the Christian Cathers in a big bonfire and a few Jews thrown in. The Jews were made to wear yellow crosses. We love to mark people. You know like when they called Eldrige Cleaver, of Soul on Ice face, evil because a black man was not supposed to be marked by green eyes , a man with the mark of Cain on him. As for sex offenders, no I really do not see how anyone could live a decent life with everyone on the net looking up his address and an employer also feretting out info and sending the old pink slip. Perhaps a more effective way of protecting the public and the rights of offenders whould be for the police just to inform people with children in a particular neighborhood about offenders rather than spread his record out over the world. Yes, I have looked at the offender list. Imagine my surprise when I found a man who once had a top security clearance and a fine education and a former coworker. I felt sick. Lucky his offense was somewhat questionable and he got off the list, but the damage was done. In Maryland, just being accused, not convicted, can land a person on an offender list. Is that fair? Any kid or neighbor who has it in for you could get back at you.
The part that really gets me is that people say these laws and stipulations are about protecting children and that simply isn't the case; police officers know it; sex offenders counselor's know it; hell even our legislators know it but what can they do now that they have implemented these things retract them and let idiots like BS from Florida scream and possibly lose votes? What a mess.

One practical problem with the sex registry is the lack of information on the actual type of crime the individual committed. Not everyone, for example, understands what a "3rd degree sex offense" is. I think the registry should offer legal definitions. A person who kisses a minor is different from one who engages in other more intimate types of physical contact. The registry in Maryland where I live does not give much "educational" information for parents plugging in their zip code to find registered offenders in their neighborhoods.

Death to all convicted p)e)d)o)s would resolve any tax payer money mispent issues and most importantly assure absolutly that another child would not be harmed by this particular individual.

this is messing with kids, defenseless and life altering, this is a mental sickness, we have the right to protect our kids and even if they are forgiven, laws have to be enforced not to make it harder on them to repeat it. The didn't steal a peach from the grocery store, He hurt a defenselss, helpless child. get a clue!!!!

forgive him. but don't make it easier for him to repeat it. How many times does it just happen once? Have you ever had your childhood taken from you? He can't make a clear decision as to what is wrong or right in how it looks at children, this is a sickness not an addiction to chocolate he can just get over and uh go on. Make it harder on him by seeing it thru and taking away his temptations after all he proved he cant be trusted with kids. Kids nowadays don't feel safe or hopeful, look around it's scarry, but if they could see that one cop or one person cared enough about them to enforce a law made to protect them, well... what a good positive seed planted in them. think about it.

Kids now adays don't feel safe? This isn't a new problem! If kids could see that their parents cared enough to protect them and set limits for them on the computer and every where else in their lives, we wouldn't need government to check out anyones computers and kids would feel a whole lot more loved and cared about. Protection needs to start at home that's the only way to protect children.

Thia guy did his time now leave him alone and go after the serious sex offenders. Hell, his wife even backs him. What about..."Ye Who Judge, Will Be Judged By The Measure You Judge" What is the difference between the Murderer and the Sex Offender? Think About It.....GOD HELP US ALL!!!
