Six arrested in Schenectady County welfare fraud sweep

A welfare fraud sweep in Schenectady County has resulted in six arrests, the Schenectady Police Department and Schenectady County Department of Social Service announced today.

There are plenty more. I know someone who sent papers to the Social Services and the Section-8 program. Yet this person is still living it. Dosent have a care in the world while others are sturgglin. The money they playing with people who really need could be getting it. Schenectady has only seen what it wantz to see. If these people pull up in a Lexis what they need food stamps 4.

i noe tons of people who ARE still using welfare fruad...... named nicole sheroka who lives on 143 haigh ave schenectady ny. nd there is other things tht they have been doin there always should be an investigation on them sellin pills from there home. im tellin you who ever looks into this will have a wonderfull story to post .... there is also under age drinkin in the home, there daughter ciara kanes boyfriend who is still in jail has a safe with crack in it ; who nichole sheroka has on her foodstamp case which he has been in jail for over a year. there also is things bein stolin from ellis hospital which the husband nicholas sheroka works at. they have numerous under age kids who they hide out in there house nd sell drug ((weed,crak)) nd prostitute underage girls. they also have a son named corey b sheroka who has been in trouble for sexualy assultin his OWN sister nd still lives in the same house as here. c.p.s also has been called on them so many times due to them not sendin there son carmen sheroka to school nd over dosein him on his clonydine to make him sleep longer. schenectady police is not doin nothing about this because of the fact that there son robert sheroka sr's wife cynthia sheroka;s uncle works at the police station nd most of the cops that work there are sellin nd usin the drugs that are bein sold from 143 haigh ave so im tellin you how crazy is schenectady when it comes to this house. i bet ur all wonderin why NOONE in this household has been arrested or dealt with, im tellin you this is a good story to prosume and investigation because schenecatdy cops are gettin more crooked bye the day " when this story comes out i garente that all this is true"

I totally agree with the lady above, schenectady is getting rediculous. Someone does need to do somthing with this house. Its funny cause my teenage son knows alot about this house and has hung out with a couple of the kids stated above. Im also reconsidering going to Ellis Hospital for any of my children or self, because i would not feel safe when there is crooked cops and workers who are there that are supposed to be keeping are community safe. There should be an investigation and i will stand with what ever you guys due.

LISA-you don't name drop on the internet-if it's true you do something about it...but obviously you have something to hide because you won't go to the officials!!!
I know for a fact that most of the CITY of SCHENECTADY is collecting off the government & a HUGE percentage of those people are NOT: VETERAN'S, HANDICAPS, nor TERMINALLY ILL...that is what government help was originally set up for.
Then you have the TEMPORARY AID: LOW INCOME, SINGLE MOTHER WORKERS COMP, ABUSE cases...but due to people getting lazy & taking advantage of the system many of the TEMPORARY has become long term!!!
I still say DRUG TEST!!!!
If they don't get random drug tested then it's the systems fault...
If there is a REAL FIGHT here it is to INFORCE RANDOM DRUG TESTING!!!
