PGE customers are being advised to be wary of callers asking to check their homes for conservation opportunities after a man who reportedly said he worked for the utility walked through a Lompico house and tried to sell the owner an $8,000 heater earlier this month. Read more

Somebody claiming to be PG&E keeps sending me bills for about $300 every month. I know the real PG&E can't value electricity this highly, because they keep having all these outages.

Hello-
I am a certified Energy specialist that works for one of 85 Subcontractors to PG and E to provide free home weatherization services to rate payers. This program is under the auspices of the CA Public Utilities commission. We are closely monitored by a state administrator:Richard Heath and Associates. We are badged and wear a white shirt with the PGandE logo on it. I also have a home contractors license issued by the state of CA.
I sent this request to Genevieve Bookwalter, writer for Sentinel this morning:
I would greatly appreciate it if you would validate our program in the newspaper. You can go on line to PG and E Energy Partners and get all the information.
I spend 40+hours a week calling and knocking on doors of homes that are already enrolled in PG and E's CARE program, which provides are lower energy rate to low income families. I educate and help families connect with other state and county agencies that can help them financially.
IT is ALL FREE.
The recent articles in the paper are probably going to severely effect my ability to earn a living unless you educate the public that there are in fact legitimate PG and E programs and salesmen/women. and... Also limit my ability to reach people in need.
PS I had a representative from Elite come to my home, because I am curious about other similar programs. He was very nice and professional, he did quote a furnace and tankless water heater and included vouchers and a tax credit into the pricing. It was a good deal but I did not have $5000.00 to have the job done, even though I would greatly benefit from having a new high efficiency furnace.
Please please do no lower yourself to accepting and rant from a single homeowner, possible competitors or ex-employees of a company as the truth, all businesses suffer that with websites like yelp and citysearch where people with too much time on their hands make hurtful claims. It is very frustrating dealing this this segment of the public at times.

If this is true what you say you should contact the Sentinal and have them contact PG&E so they can conferm what you do is ok! Just because you say it is doesnt mean it is! People if someone walks up on your door with a white shirt & PG&E logo call PG&E first before you let him in! If he is ok he will wait ((( OUT-SIDE ))) to be safe as you call!!!

DO NOT DUE BUSINESS WITH ADVANCED CONSERVATION SERVICES OR ELITE CONSERVATION SERVICES....this company is a SCAM, i use to work for them and the are a bunch of cheats. they lie and make their telemarketers lie or they will fire them. they are money hungry and are just looking to make you buy their product. BE AWARE THEY ARE NOT PG&E AND NOT EVEN AFFILIATED WITH PG&E. THEIR INSTALLERS OR FIELD INSPECTORS ARE NOT TRAINED BUT JUST REGULAR JOES OFF THE STREET WHO ARENT EVEN REAL CONTRACTORS. this company keeps changing their name due to bad reviews and many open cases with Better Business Bur...they keep changing their 800 numbers too. they take advantage of the single moms out their and hire them as 1099 positions along with treating them like cattle and not legally following 1099 rules. do not do business with them. they make you think you are getting a deal by marketing up the product and then offering you phony cash vouchers to bring it down.

Just had a rep from Advanced Conservation Services come out to supposedly give me an estimate on a rebate from the state on a window installation. Both the caller who gave me the info and set the appointment, and the representative, were very sneaky about hinting that they were affiliated with PG and E or DWP. He pressured me to sign a "voucher", and told me that it might not be available if I waited. It was obvious that he knew nothing about the window business; he didn't even have any literature or brochures! I smelled a rat, and told him I had to discuss this with my husband. I'm calling the Better Business Bureau tomorrow.

This company does not rip off consumers or employees!!!! Check their prices against anyone's and you will find they are competitive. People get angry when they are incompetent and can't do their job so they write bad reviews. If you have questions then ask for references as they have literally hundreds of satisfied customers.

Mr. Johnson is an ex employee who could not do his job. Do real homework and not just read posts that anybody can do. As an example I can post a bad review on Yelp for a restaurant I have never been to. That alone tells you that these posts are not enough information to make a real decision about a company or their offerings. As far as the BBB goes search for Al Quada ( honestly not sure of spelling but it's the terrorists group) and you will find that they have an A- rating. BBB ONLY WANTS MONEY and you get a good rating!!!

Please by very wary of doing any business with Roger Kilby or any company he's involved with! He's currently operating under the name of California Energy Services. He practices fraud and is not concerned about customer satisfaction. "Misunderstandings" are something he practices as a business model! Steer clear!

I did not research them but I loved the work that they did for me. I really needed a new furnace and they did a great job in getting me one for a good price.

Look Roy, I bet your the nephew of Robert Saric. Mr.Robert Saric sign a contract, it was accepted, and executed. In fact he also signed a satisfaction certificate which said that the work was completed. Are You are one of those busy bodies that want more work done for free? You claimed you were SCAMMED? How much money did you pay out of your pocket? NONE you did not have a contract with the company. Furthermore, Why did you let the company install it in the first place? After all ,you know how to do the work it yourself. Well, I'll tell you WHY! Because you were too lazy to help your uncle in the first place when he ask you . He told the company that you were able but would not help him. Ironically,You did not realize he was willing to pay the price that he paid to the company. Yeah you were scammed, the scam was that your uncle was willing to the company more that he was will to pay you ROY. WHY? because he thinks you are incompetent. You are a real loser.

This person claims to be an ex-employee , the review that Jay Stevens offers violates the user agreement . It is slanderous and fabricated.Jays Steven is a criminal and is behaving in such a manner. This individual lies, and manipulates.
