C'mon council people, what would you do if you were homeless? Show some compassion for a change. Don't let these people die, we need to help them, and give more to the homeless.

Let's not turn Santa Cruz into Nazi Germany :(

Fearing an abusive government is always a proper reaction, especially if that fear motivates one to rise up and protest.

I also think that we need more food give-aways located directly in the heart of the downtown, where people can get it directly, and nourish themselves when starving.

I propose a new sales tax increase in Santa Cruz to fund this.

Why don't you propose to get a job?

"I agree with you Chris. This is window dressing. We really don't know who is committing crimes in our town and what kinds of crime. This is a knee-jerk reaction. Next we'll be putting brown stars on the homeless, like Hitler did to the Jews and to others considered social deviants."

Roy McAlister

"Not only melodramatic, but ironic. Here we have a regular poster who publicly advocates for socialism....then uses a socialist as an example of the most deplorable oppressive behavior.

I wonder if they'll ever connect the dots...?"

One of the best posts I've seen regarding John's logic.

New methods of collecting tax revenue will be needed also. I know that I dont pay the full amount I owe unless I am forced to!

Also, new ways of encouraging people to volunteer would be good. Like potlucks and singalongs and stuff, but I feel that primarily the answer relies on raising taxes.

Great ideas. You should tell the SC city council. But don't be offended if they cut your time short. When you say things they don't want hear the little fascists will shut you up before time is up.

Then why are you dipshit liberals just BEGGING for more govt control? You do realize that you're the first "revolution" in the history of mankind to be demanding more control over our lives?

...And you do realize that NAZI is an abbreviation for the National Socialist party, don't you? Where else in the world can you find that lovely combination of socialist advocates who regularly rant about the Jews?

Sort of like how you have a trust fund but your son receives public assistance?

If you had a trust fund, you wouldn't have to try to "lease" an RV for you, Fat Pat, and your 4 cats to live out of. Hell, if you had a job, you wouldn't have to live in a dumpster next month. Hell, if you were just nice to people, you could stay in your section 8 litter box. But your too dumb to do any of those things, so instead, you're getting evicted.

That's on you John.

Since I dont see anyone named "John" commenting on this thread, I will answer this. Why do you talk to "John" so much? Is it a rhetorical tool?

I've told DBS many times that sometimes I dream of having a trust fund so I dont have to work any more. Its sort of like a lottery fantasy but I am very proud of the homes I own and the work I do so I wouldn't call the fantasies unhealthy ones at all.

DBS doesn't work. I would never want to live like that.

Why do you care or defend John so much?

Because you are John E. Colby.

I believe this was directed at me.

I defend him because I think he is morally superior to you trolls.

Shall we debate this point?
