Please return, marine layer. Some people can't seem to handle off-shore winds.

Excellent idea. Perhaps a new Chief is needed in order to accomplish more coummunity policing. Chief Rick Martinez can make this happen.

Who ARE these punks? If you know them, turn them in; if you witnessed it, inform the police. If you have a cell phone, take a picture of them. Let's get rid of this disease. WE are a community of good people.

What's with all these people carrying guns and knives? I thought we had a gang task force since I'm assuming it was gang related, but then again it could be a drug deal gone bad. Either way Santa Cruz is becoming infested with with vermin.

No way in hell. This new Chief must come from outside the department otherwise there will be zero change.

Why, why? Flying by helicopter for a non-life threatening injury? Are doctors at Dominican that incapable of treating such wounds? Does this guy have insurance to pay for it? Or is it coming out of my hide again?!!

Does Galli Uniform sell body armor to the general public? If not, maybe they should start, soon.

How many shootings does this make now? 2 today, 1 in Live Oak Saturday? Are they related?

This would be a great time to hear more frank details from law enforcement about what's going on.

Another non life-threatening wound and another $10,000 helicopter ride paid for by the locals. Who is making the money off this little venture. I've looked but could not find much information.

Guess it's time to install cameras everywhere; we have a subculture of people who shoot without regard for life: anyone's life. How many hospital visits and funerals do we need to pay for before someone will install those cameras.
