The sanilac county sheriff's office should not be the one conducting the investigation, investigators from Lansing should be the ones brought in, its a little to close to home for sanilac county to be handling it. also how come no charges have been sought out? if any of us would have been the one that did the shooting we would be locked up.

I totally agree citizen, but as history shows, it seems Sanilac County cops are exempt from the same laws they enforce on the public. Have family that worked there, he pulled over for drunk driving showed his badge and they followed him home...no charges. You or I, theyd take us in, if we were in our own driveway. Now is the time for the double standards to end in this county and hold the cops just as responsible as if they were a normal member of society.

just read in Times Herald about the 17 yr old that ran stop sign and killed another driver. She is charged with negligent homicide.. Sounds exacly like story involving cop here, made u-turn in front of motorcyclist and killed him. So why charges here and not for cop? Just another incident where a badge justifys a wrong doing......And here in Sanilac County the badge means word of gold and exempt from any wrongdoing, because here the cops feel they dont represent the law, they ARE the law. Its time to fix things in this county, and it doesnt make any sence at all to have this cops fellow officers investigating this, no sence at all

I just wish others saw it the way that we do. they either let things go or sweep them right under the rug. If they get a tip on something lets say maybe a robbery they do not prevent it from happening, and then they take 3yrs to arrest the individuals that did it. as for the cop getting pulled over and being followed home this is not the first time that it has happened and i am certain it will not be the last. weither u work at the court house, jail, or an officer u get a smack on the hand and ur free to go. when they are off duty they are citizens just like u and i and the same laws need to apply to everyone, will this ever happen? probably not and its sad. i would like to see the roster of who was actually on duty the night of the shooting because for some reason when back up was called it was the sherrif and the cheif of police that showed up says the paper. when are they on duty at 2am? i hate dogging on my own county but u are right it is something that needs to change, u and i are not the only ones that think this but unfortunitly i dont see it happening.

i did not know mr. kramer and i think it is very sad situation, all i have heard about this gentlmen is that he was a sweetheart and never did any wrong to anyone and would go the extra mile for someone if he could. for the cop i have heard that when he has pulled ppl over he is very rude, a women that was pregnet he made cry and an elderly women he had pulled over had an unfortunate accident because he was scaring her, was told he even pulled his gun, now come on give me a flipping break. ur out of school cops arent supposed to be bullies, they are suppose to be here to help us not harm us.

The Little wiener was only 4 foot nothing . He had to use a gun to intimidate people. Bad case of Napoleon syndrome. Little boy wanting to be a big man. The polices silence is very troublesome It looks worse on their behalf every day. I have heard many stories about how this little dink acted None good. Not to be off topic but do you remember the last true A$$ hole we had in a badge around here beating people up?

Here you are. Same type of POS Just a different costume. I will say at least these people can still go home to their families.Still sad though. This man should have been stopped long ago as he did hurt alot of people and it was reported many times but again the good old boys club protects their own.
Think about it.

"It is not easy to stand up here as a prosecutor knowing we have charged a fellow law enforcement person with such a grievous crime," Leyton said. "But it has to be done."
Do you think Young will have the same amount of character as this man? Don't hold your breath!

The short shit cop should ahve lost his badge for this one. He has been reported for not filing charges in the past for people violating probation and now he shoots a buy four times if not more just to stop him. It was said that he was on his way home and went off the road but the cop will probably get away with it but hopefully not cause he doesnt belong on the force after this. this was just a bunch of bs for the short cop to pick on him for no good reason.

Let alone did the lil syndrome cop not report probation violators, was extremely rude to people, one of his friends was pulled over for a dui and went to jail, but he went and bailed him out while he was on duty and took him home, hmm....thats really what our tax dollars pay for? and since when is it ok for someone not to sit in the drunk tank? oh i guess its ok if its a cops friend, NOT!! and to bad the prosecuter wont prosicute him, i thought that the prosicuters job waas to stand up for the people and prosicute law breakers, but hmm..dont see that happening either. i guess we all could just go around shooting people if thats the way its going to be, but wait i forgot were not cops were just normal people so we would get the book thrown at us!!! the lil pip squeak needs to be put away this is a bunch of non sense my tax dollars do not want to pay for him to be on duty especially if u get pulled over by him who knows what type of mood he might be in, whos next? we all should write to lansing or email thats the only way something will get done bout this, forget sanilac county they only look out for themselves!!!!
