I am so sorry for your loss. Innocent until proven guilty. And no matter what, common decency demands proper and fair treatment. This should be thoroughly investigated, ala Garland County Jail in Hot Springs, AR and Pope County Jail in Russellville, AR. Those people are paying.
Thank you for your kindness amd undestanding.

If this not the worst prison ever then why did three offerers just get charged with raping female inmates there? Is that the way jail is supposed to be. If you do the crime, is that the type of time you should be doing? My ex is there, and she was sexually assaulted by a male offender in transport to the jail. She is there for a bad check, he was in for sexually assulting children. Is that the correct way to treat a person even if they are in jail? I worked for TDCJ for over 10 years. They people that have attitudes of thats what they deserve should be in jail for not being human.

I don't understand why Texas Commission on Jail Standards won't do something about all the evil things that go on in that jail. I am sorry for the victim(s) who were assaulted. It shouldn't have happened just like they should not have let my son die in that God forsaken place. Do you know who the officers were? Thank you for reporting this to the public. It seems like this is the only way we get information.

I am sorry that you loved one is there. The only thing that I know for you to do is keep in constant contact. Call the jail often and ask about him. They must tell you when you call. Also pray for your loved one. I certainly will.

Yes I know his nickname was Kracker and that is what most people called him. I miss him so much and know that he did not deserve the treatment (or lack thereof) he received in that God forsaken jail. I will continue to pray for your loved one and all the others that are there at the mercy of those inhumane people. I am sure there are a few good, caring officers there but that number is few. Keep in close contact with your loved one and visist everytime you can. Say a prayer for Kracker when you are there visiting and know that I am continously praying for the accountability of their actions. May God be with you.

What about medical care to inmates? Aren't they supposed to treat them as humans even though they have broken the law? I understand being incarcerated because you have committed a crime, but should they just let you die in there without giving any medical attention? I can tell you that yes that is exactly what they have done. My son was left to die in a padded cell and no one cares!

back in 1998 i was a 17yr old being charged as an adult for possessing 20 lbs of marijuana, during my trial, and sentencing phase of my court case i was being housed in the san patricio co. jail for 5 long months, and let me say, that was more than enough time to witness bullshit first hand, and by bullshit i mean, the filth in the old jail, the lack of medical staff and care need for a jail of that caliber,no adequate recreational facilities, lack of jailer in the new jail(i remember dislocating a inmates arm in a fight and it took them 1 hour for the jailers to get to the poor dude.)also chief jailer wilson...she is so old has to be at least 70 yrs old...why is this broad a chief calling the shots?also these jailers are all fat as hell, they have no training in how to handle inmates (that worked out to our advantage though)young fat rookie+crazy inmates=inmates having the upper hand...i don't know now things are now but while i was there it was all jacked up,one good thing about it though is that they served up plenty of food in there...but now day if i'm on my way to corpus from san antonio...i take the back roads instead of U.S 181...and i bought me a police jammer so they can't record my speed in the event that i have the need for speed in the country.and as for my dope run days....well lets just say that 4.5 yrs in the state penitentiary gotten me smarter about johnny law.

i never thought it was possible for me to say this to anyone but i can say it now after reading your post. YOUR A COMPLETE IDIOT!!!!!

I kno exactly wut mom means! My husband and myself were both wrongly accused and arrested by the US marshalls 3 weeks ago! I did an over nighter in a womens holding tank and that for me was enough to see how disgusting this jail is.. They didn't even have a toilet for women to use! Merely a hole,, literally A HOLE in the floor that you have to squat over! Unfortunately my husband wasn't able to bail out due to a parole hold.. While this isn't his first round in san pat county this is by far his worst! They have No regard towards their inmates what so ever! My husband was in population for 3 weeks until yesterday when the guards invaded their 16 man tank searched it numerous times and found nothing,, continued to move them to another take searched them again then moved them into 2 man tanks.. Then went bak and hit them up AGAIN after finding NOTHING the first two times and moved them to EE1 also known as "the dungeon" the most disgusting,, filthy,, mold infested place in the whole jail! For mostly aggravated offenders (which my husband is not) nor is he confirmed! they're supposed to perform hourly checks on them,, which they don't! He's requested simple things such as toilet paper which he hasn't received in the two days they've had him there! My husband also has a medical condition which they seem to completely ignore! When asked why they call it the dungeon,, the answer is clear,, they forget about u while ur down there.. They could care less about ur needs.. Ur treated lke an animal if not worse.. Of course,, I understand this isn't the hilton as some of u ppl put it.. Bt they have known,, CONFIRMED gang members and aggravated offenders in population.. Yet my husband is being segregated from population for wut reason? They couldn't even tell him or me! It's the stupid ass sgt. Adam arnold who feels the need to go against wut the captain herself orders! I've heard from so many wut a horrible jail this is and now I'm seeing it first hand..

no,, they've gotten so strict on visitation policies there it's ridiculous! U have to be immediate family.. Brother sister, mom, dad, wife... Or if you have a kid with that person and their names on the birth certificate they consider u common law and u can see them that way.. That's how I see my fiance..

Hi, I am really sorry about your loss. I was just wondering have you ever taken a moment to think about what the correctional officers had to go through themselves. If an inmate comes into a jail severely addicted to drugs there is only so much that can be do medically especially when detoxing. I wonder what runs through a correctional officers mind when they are trying to revive and give cpr to an inmate while knowing there is nothing they can do for him. I also wonder if the incident runs through there mind from time to time. I could imagine it would be a horrific scene for anyone to experiance. I mean they are not the enemy or a physician with all that said just security doing their jobs to make a living for thier family as you probably are as well.
