Community Colleges have been dominated with academic clones, most with a single goal of boosting their numbers into General Education tracking. Vocational courses were despised they changed their name into Career and Technology courses. The Academics at the top were insistent in doing away with hands on classes. They got what they wanted and they are doing a hell of a job hiding the actual dropout rate at their campuses. For years the parking lots are full for the first 3 weeks of school. After that, you can find a parking spot anywhere. The PhD's have done a great job or they would like you to believe that. Occupational training is needed, just ask any business owner trying to fine qualified labor.

I agree with the both of you! I am a returning student to the Univeristy of California in Northern California. I will finally graduate in May. What have I learned, ummmm Nothing but crap! I know more than the professors do! This is what they brain wash your kids with; Diversity, Oppression, ect. Internship is a joke! They tell you to find an occupation in a government, state or local level and they push the importance of benefit packages. These instructors are on drugs! California is broke!!! In the mean time they have a ten year status and the union to back them up.
And we can not get rid of them.
Many of them make the students buy the text books that they had published.
What a waste of money on the education system.

This is done to keep Ca junior colleges functioning! It creates job security and makes more $$. The USA is in the toilet and the great modern day roman empire is crumbling fast. Adios gringos!
