Double fines as a safety tool
It is reassuring to learn that the California Department of Transportation has spurned questionable advice from Solano County supervisors and opted to continue the double fine zone on Highway 12 between Interstate 80 in Solano County and I-5 in San Joaquin County.

Double fines only occur after a conviction, motorists stopped and ticketed in double fine zones should contest their tickets and backlog the courts into the year 2020.
