When I read, "invasive pests" I immediatelythought of Republicans and Mexicans, two of the world's worse invasive pests.

The fact is that, once introduced, many non-native animals and plants spread slowly and undetected, at first. Unfortunately, by the time they are discovered it is usually too late to erradicate the threat and the only choice left is to contain these threats. Read the full post here:

The heck with them. We've been asking them to watch out for invasive pests for several decades now, and they just ignore us.

I do not think this is the job of private citizens. The State needs to watch for invasive species. Most private citizens have neither time nor expertise for this purpose.
