I sent the following letter to the parole board earlier this week.

Dear Parole Board:

At the time of Craig Peyer’s conviction back in 1986, I was a UCLA 23 year old graduate returning to my home town of Escondido to start my new life. I would daily make my way down Highway 163 to San Diego for work. During that time, I can remember the emotion to this day how I felt for the young San Diego State student Cara Knott, whom lost her life at the hands of a Highway patrol upon being pulled over that night by Peyer.

It is all too close to home as I am now a mother of two, Beau 18 and Brittany 16, both want to go to college in San Diego. Now that I am a mother, it brings out my emotion to protect the innocent and keep people that do bad things off the street even more than back when I was just 23 years old.

My daughter Brittany, 16 was involved in 2007 carjacking which took place in Pleasanton at the hands of a man on parole. He had stolen a car, robbed two women and then attempted to carjack my daughter’s car. She fought for her life against this criminal while 4 good Samaritan from the nearby country club came to her rescue. He will be going back to prison once again.

To this day, I have not forgotten the face of Cara Knott. Her pretty smile and her strong family are memories I have from when I watched the news day in and day out during the trial. He has never admitted to this crime and he probably never will.

I feel very strongly that Craig Peyer should not be allowed to be anywhere else but in prison behind bars for life. I hope that you will consider what I have said and many others who will write to you to prevent Craig Peyer from being released.

Thank you,
robert

Are you out of your mind? "Great law enforcement officers" do not KILL people. Nor do "wonderful" men.
Sick. You are absolutely, sick.

WTH is wrong with you? He was not a good Police Officer at all. If he had been, Cara would still be alive. He is a horrible person who cant even admit his guilt after HIS blood was found on the victim.

I had a psychology teacher explain why Cops and Criminals have
such similar personality traits. It always stuck with me, and I
found the similarities uncanny.
