This is the primary reason third worlders become priests, brothers, nuns - for economic prosperity. They've at least earned in living in servitude to such a despicable and evil organization that would deny birth control to overpopulated Africa and Asia.

You guys are missing the whole point. While the Camden Diocese is closing down most of the Catholic parishes within 338 square miles of Salem County (thank you bruce bobbitt) for that fact....

The Camden diocese purchased a $800,000 mansion instead of using other properties in Salem County.

per council of parishes of sj www.councilofparishes.net the mansion was really intended for bishop galante when he retired.

Who is farming the property? Are there any horses or crops.

Even though no parish should close....
If they claim they have to close down parishes why not close the parishes in towns where there are already Catholic Churches. Everytown should have a Catholic Church.

seashore and cherry hill and vineland, bellmawr areas some times have 3 or more parishes in one town. Also, many parishes have 3-4 priests in each parish.

Salem County has the most closures compared to other counties in diocese making travel hardships for everyone and which will further poor and elderly.

The president has nothing to do with this. These nuns were in the middle and most likely threatened with their visas. They do work at nursing home mater day. The $800,000 mansion was to be future home of bishop. Also, did they put in for farmland assessement?

Also, the Camden Diocese has failed to acknowledge that sexual abuse by clergy is a factor involved with the Catholic Church closings as it is all over the country including CAlifornia and New England.

Did you know that a victim of sexual abuse approached their pastor of a Catholic Church in Salem county and told them to keep the church open so they can heal? This pastor not only lacked compassion and sympathy but this pastor went on to say that victim was lying about facts involving church closings. He had the parish ostracize victim and spouse. He used cussed out victim because they publically protested the church closings.

On october 28 2008 pastor advised victim to not to return to parish for anything. Where is this pastor now??? Gone to westmont/collingswood area.

The victim wrote to bishop galante and never received reply. There has been no compassion for victims of sexual abuse in this diocese. Actions speak louder then paper.

Also, the abuse happened in camden county and was reported to diocese.

yes, there were victims of sexual abuse in salem county too.victims remain silent because of embarrasmmet, fear etc.
Whatever happened to father evans. It was said that he didn't even come home from puerto rico to his own mother's funeralWhy is he in puerto rico instead of camden diocese. How many pedophile priests still going to get money from the diocese for pensions and medical ???
