I've been there, and seen that. It's true that you hardly get anything to eat and that real health care issues are not addressed in that facility, there are worse jails, as unimaginable as that is. If you think you go hungry and are ignored in Robertson County, then try Sevier County on for size. You'll be begging to go back to Robertson County.

It's funny, I'd eat at the Robertson County Jail and immediately think to myself, "Man what am I going to eat." I was always hungry there too, but I did get an apple everyday, and even though it was always turkey, and little of it, my meat was never served to me rotten. They must have tweaked the menu a little bit since my last stay.

Seriously, don't ever go to jail anywhere unless it's because you stand for the right thing and are suffering for Jesus' sake.

Well, if you are in jail then maybe you don't deserve much more than that! Jail and prison inmates don't deserve what they receive while incarcerated; Tent city is the place for folks of that kind.

You sound like a self righteous bastard. I hope that you aren't like that.

Punishment is divine, people should take notice of its true purpose.

Nope, not righteous. Simply believe in treating people as they deserve. Why should we give those who have done wrong (sometimes DIRELY wrong) things that we, as law-abiding folk, have to struggle for? They are guaranteed three squares a day and four walls and a roof...we aren't guaranteed that and, at times, do without one or both of those. Now, tell me how that works out to be right. If I do wrong and end up in jail I would expect no more.

If the county and state had any balls then they would put the inmates out on the side of the road from dusk til dawn chained to one another and work them instead of them sitting back on taxpayers money doing absolutely nothing. I had the up most respect for the sheriff in Texas who keep his inmates outside in tents, no matter the weather conditions. If they want a 5 course meal then stay out of jail, atleast your not dead.

Joh:8:24: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Re:21:8: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Praise the Lord! I fully accept this and I agree totally, it isn't a harsh penalty at all. I know there are some who disagree, but nuts to them, they'll get what they deserve.

What you don't seem to understand is, you've got people in jail suing over any little thing like the color of the towels, single or double ply toilet tissue, and their food. they're in jail and honestly don't deserve any rights, but unfortunely it seems that they have more rihgts then the victims. While inmates/prisoners are in incarceration they should be working of their time not sitting back reading and watching t.v. on taxpayers money and they should not be allowed to sue over having it rough while in jail/prison. They need to remember it's not the Marriott or the freaking Hilton. Did this inmate stop to think about how his crime effected people, probably not. I along with most red blooded Americans have no sympathy for those who choose this path in life. It's time that we tighten down on are judicial system and make them get strict, if they are given a 5yr sentence then they are to serve 5yrs not 4yrs 364days and if given death then kill them as they probably killed somebody. However I do believe that everybody deserves 1 retrial. You can take the word of God and try to twist it around for your own believe, that's fine with me, but eventually you will have to see the light of day and realize crime is wrong and is punishable.

I'll agree that the justice system is corrupt. I'll also agree that some people require harsh punishment. But I don't believe in letting people suffer to death, or punishing prisoners unjustly, or even the torture that goes on within the prison system. There are basic human rights that people are being stripped of in many of these institutions. I believe in prison and punishment, but I also believe in mercy and kindness.

Did they give mercy or kindness to their victims?

I've talked with both people who have served time in there and worked there, and my understanding is the food is not as bad as this guy is making it out to be. Hopefully he will remember this the next time he thinks about committing a crime.

WOW!! That sounds like a load of bullcrap. What law says they even have to have a tape? None. It probably got thrown out because Robertson Co. courts are a bunch of liberals that don't prosecute anything, especially if you are a female. Kinda sounds like you got caught buying crack from an undercover. Good job. Cops in Robertson county are the most laid back and lenient that I have met. Go to Metro or Sumner county and see what happens.
