i think it's safe to say that if we didnt have marijuana the world wouldnt be anything like it is today. Like prolly no color TV, because who needs colors if your not high and another great invention video games, why would you need video games if you werent high... and what about the greatest invention of them all doritos there would be no need for doritos if you werent high so i think not only is pot not bad for you it is supporting the economy and making video games... statistics have shown that has weed has gotten stronger graphics for video games and flavors for doritos have gotten a lot better... so legalize it...

How about we legalise marijuana, and then make it so that you can sign a form allowing you to use it, but at the same time you give up your right to free and decent health care.

I am not going to pay for the medical bills that somebody brings up as a result of the fact that they decided to take up smoking.

I thought Australia was on the other side of the planet, not in an entirely different universe.
First off, there is no "right to free and decent health care" in America. We're lucky if we get decent health care, but free health care is simply not on the menu.
Second, there is no justifiable reason to deny a person health care for smoking pot. It's not within the scope of medicine to punish people for their choices. There has not been a study of any kind that links pot smoking to any significant health risks. Marijuana was, in fact, an accepted and utilized tool in the pharmacopoeia up until the 1940's.
Your suggestion is sanctimonious, mean spirited and more than a little bit silly.

You legalize pot and before long just as with everything else soon you will hear, but what about cocaine? its not as bad as meth? lets legalize it too.
