Brush fire erupts in Beaumont
The fire was first reported at 1:20 p.m. and had grown to 600 acres as of 3:50 p.m., pushed by west-blowing winds, according to the Riverside County Fire Department, which was battling the blaze along with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Why do people have to start wild fires? Can't they just make a big fire pit if they want to burn things?
