The horse was abandoned yes. The bank did know about the horse as did the humane society. I personally contacted the humane society, and they have strict rules which said they could not take the horse because it was considered personal property of the bank. I told them I am a spokesperson for the bank, and they did not care. I, along with a nearby friend, was feeding the horse everyday, changing and filling the water, accepting scrap feed from nearby feed stores to help feed this horse. We were the ones that put up the sign in the feed store looking for the horse to get rescued. What the story doesnt say, is there was also a dog named Chance that was left there tied up as well. I brought the dog home, since I could house a dog for a bit, but not a horse, and found the dog a home. Glad to see that Beatriz and her father were able to rescue the horse. I had been in contact with her mother.
