that mall is a death trap.the kids take it over ever yweekend. and by kids i mean 9year olds to 15 year olds. everyone who can drive goes to a better mall. parents leave these kids at the mall as if security is going to baby sit them. security is a joke. there is one k9 unit that they cant afford to keep around all the time and a hand full of old men with guns. usually in yellow shirts. ive worked there for 7 years and in that time ive seen drunk girls as young as 12 stumbling around and knocking things over in the candy store by the food court. riots, robberies assults galore and now a fatal stabbing. cant say i didnt see this coming and ive been warning people, my customers about letting thier kids roam around the mall unsupervised on weekends.

i understand some parents work and cant watch thier kids at all times. i was a latch key kid myself. my condolences go out to the lopez girl that was abducted and murderd comning home from school and here we are again 1 month almost to the day and another young person is dead in moreno valley. i cant help but wonder if lack of parenting had anything to do with it.if you doubt my story i invite yo to come down to the mall on a friday night and agian on a saturday night, see for yourselves. if you truely care for your kids keep a closer eye on them and keep them out of the death trap that is the moreno valley mall.security is powerless to protect you there. they sent out a memo...wish i saved it id post it, the memo said that security was there pretty much to observe and report. when my coworker was assulted and robbed in our store she bravely fought back. then as the guy ran away she yelled to a security guard she saw standing across from the food court by the doors. the bad guy was caught for sure right?

WRONG, see security guards cant arrest or even fight a bad guy because if the bad guy gets hurt he might sue the mall. so the guys in blue wearing mounty hats with pretend badges can only observe and report. As long as you dont use a gun cause some of those old guys are armed . 9mm mostly and theyre local cops or retired ones not just some crazy old cowboys. This small band of of brave men and 1 k9, can only be effective it seems to stop crazy armed terrorist from mowing through the mall or any crazy guy haveing a bad day walking in with a shot gun. it seems some legal corporate policy keeps them from doing anything to stop the local tough guys.

as for the street punk that attacked my friend, security held the door open for him and he bolted across the parkinglot jupmped the iron fence across the street and was lost in the apartment complex before police could do anything. security held the door open.....not that he could have stopped the 6 ft tall kid cause the gaurd was about 70 years old and unarmed.

now im not blaming the mall or its staff. but would those kids act the same way if thier parants were there? would this other kid be alive had his parent hung out with him that night in the mall? there are so many empty stores borded up but made to look like a continuous wall. thousands of square feet of empty stores with no electricity and back tunnels leading to them. i walk my female coworkers out to thier cars. ive been working there for 7 years and its a practice i continue to this day. i make sure that during work hours i keep the siccors and box cutters close at hand and out of reach from the every day customers.

Those poor security guards! Having to put up with crappy customers, snobbish mall employees, clueless kids and now thugs with knives.

Who actually shops inside that mall? Too many gangsta clothing shops, one pro-ILLEGAL (all that La Raza BS) and cheap shoes. Macy's is the only good shop.

I agree Moreno Valley Mall has attracted the wrong class of people, I refuse to shop there and will go the extra mile to Victoria's Gardens or Orange County and spend my $$$ in a positive environment where people dress in class and behave in a more professional manner. Shame on the parents who are allowing their teenage kids to roam around the mall, my kid just told me after 7:00pm on Friday night it looks like LA, very scary parents start being more responsible and dress your kids right! Management at the mall closed down all those ghetto shops and bring in retail like Orange County!

I can only ask myself the following:
What the heck are parents teaching these kids?
Ghetto? It doesn't matter if you live in Compton or Beverly Hills......It's you, yes you what decides what you want to become, I know many people who have live their entire life in a Ghetto place, but they don't kill, rob, or use drugs. It's doesn't matter if your poor or rich, what matters is what you teach your kids.......I have two teenagers and I can tell you that I know where they are, with whom, and what they are doing, this is what I thought my kids and it's not controling, it's simple..........this is called respect for your parents and other people. It doesn't matter if he was an adult, he was still a human being and no one deserves to die that way. I have live in Moreno Valley for many many years and until recently I have started to hear all these non-sense......people being murdered so oftern as changing underware. YOU parents need to take care of your kids, it doesn't matter if they 5 or 50 years old.
POLICE DEPARTMENT, time for you to do something about this out of control situation!

Problem is the litigious society. ABOLISH ALL LAWYERS and FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS!(Then MAYBE the security guards badges might be worth more than the metal they're made of).

If I had a reason to whip some of these kids I would and I will if they were ever to cross me doing some dumb spit so to the kids following these bad crowds feeling that they have something to prove don't do it because ill be watching out for groups of kids/teens/young adults etc., acting like they can get away with spit like this and for the followers don't follow, look up to the real people who take care of things your parents/teachers the good hard working parents and caregivers who really are trying to keep things stable @ home my love goes out to the parents trying so think before you act there is no threat its a fact.

STFU how does that mall look like L.A? Everyone of you guys are just to paranoid. If you're kid was in L.A. judging that your a little bit of a white wash individual, he would've been assaulted and had his fancy things stolen off him. Trust I came from LA a year ago into this suburban, redneck, conservative, close minded, waste of a city. This is not ghetto at all, go to LA at that time, it will be a big difference. Stupid chumps.

I do go to the Moreno Valley Mall as it is closest to where I live and gas prices are so high some of us have no choice but to go there. I am appalled by the boys/men who wear their pants below their butt only covering the upper thighs and legs. Why wear pants at all if you're not going to cover your butt? Why not buy them to fit and use a belt. The style of saggy butt came from the prison pants era and needs to change. Do you really think its sexy to us ladies or are you trying to look cool for other guys? Ask yourself and you'll better understand what I am talking about. Girls would rather see a classy dressed guy wearing his jeans correctly and show intelligence so when I see a dude wearing his jeans or pants or pajama's for that matter, I will assume he is secretly gay and wanting men to check out his stuff. I can be at a restaurant and a dude will walk by and his underwear are covering his butt but pants are about to fall down and he can only walk swinging one arm because the other needs his hand to hold his pants up. Get a clue. YOu know who I am talking about so don't play dumb. Just go shopping and get some tighter fitting pants. Dare to be different and start the trend of normalcy.

As someone who goes to the Moreno Valley mall often, the mall really isnt bad. Yeah you get some bored teenagers that act like assholes but not out of the ordinary for teenagers. Kids getting drunk isnt new either. And blaming it all on black and hispanic people is inaccurate and racist. And i do come from LA (and no i am not black/hispanic) this mall could be soooooohoooooo much worse trust me.

Let's face it...Moreno Valley IS Ghetto!

If you happen to think otherwise, it's likely you're ghetto as well!

Moreno USED to be a nice city until scores of people relocated from the slums of LA and brought their crime living ways with them. What a damn shame.

F U losers for ruining a place i once called home!

if you guys don't like the area , stay away from it . everyone is quick to criticize the area but honestly no place is safe, and if your concerned on how the kids are being raised then take into consideration you wanna be a good parent and as long as you think your doing it right its not in your place to criticize all the kids surrounding your own. i have lived here for 11 years and the area is not the best , but surround yourself with people that are good for you. I have lived in Moval for ten years and I have not seen anything I wouldn't see in Ontario or at Victoria Gardens. The only difference is at Victoria gardens it's nothing but rich big mouth white kids no different then black or Hispanic. I came for Ontario and it is just as ghetto as any other place u visit. Just surround yourself with normal hardworking regular people. Regardless of your ethic background, race or how much money you make. Ghetto is everywhere you go. Lastly if you don't like it in Moreno Valley then move. No one bought you here. Your here because you can't afford anything else. Also FU for blaming all for the a-holes you come in contact with...(:
