What Diana failed to report was that at the time the city administrator, Jaime Aguilera, was hired by the City of Sunland Park, the city gave him an employment contract for the extent of Mayor Resendiz’s term. The contract contained provisions which required the city to pay Mr. Aguilera a considerable amount of money for early termination.
This expense, coupled with the outstanding deficit costs, outlined in the Las Cruces 9/22/2010 “Landfill opposition may prove costly for Sunland Park”, outstanding litigation, and on-going EEOC hiring and procurement violations are sure to place the City in a serious financial quandary.
I would recommend that Diana undertake a more serious investigative inquiry and not simply rely on comments by a City Councilor who might have a vested interest in not providing the entire picture on Sunland Park’s true financial state.

the City of Sunland Park needs a great person that is clean with no DWI or criminal record to hold the management position. At lease do a background and crinimal check.
