We've all made stupid decisions in our lives at that age, some worse than other's. That's not to say he shouldn't be punished to the fullest extent the law would allow. I do, although very little, feel for him and the shit mess he is about to undergo, but it sucks he is going to have to learn the hard way, and others are having to suffer for his moment of stupidity.

I wonder what the f**k was going through his mind as he approached the crosswalk. Unless he was looking down or driving with his eyes closed, how did he not see the kids crossing? I can see maybe one kid being obstructed from his view by a car in the thru lane, but 8 or more? Did he think he would scare them and they'd run out of the way, and laugh his ass off the rest of the way home, high-fiving his friend and brother with how "cool" he was? Were the kids running through the crosswalk in a pack?

I take my child to school at CCS on the opposite diagonal corner of the highschool and kids crossing where the accident occurred take their time getting across. How did he NOT see them? Something tells me we will never know, knowing he has a thing for dishonesty now with the BS brake failure story.

He is a smart A**, I have seen him driving that vehicle before this accident, and he always drove tooooooooo fast in front of the school. He should be punished to the extend that the law allows.

first off I must say that this is a horrible horrible situation and my thought go out to everybody involved.second I agree this boy should be punished although I'm not sure labeling him a felon will benefit society..
