I'm not sorry to see him go. He has done almost nothing while in office, leaving the work to Mr Thompson.

Hopefully this will open people's eyes to what kind of county commissioners they elected. The commissioners were looking for a yes man instead of a competent prosecutor and got an incompetent hack.

Remember this the next election cycle.

They seem to have alot to do with it if they withold funding and if they (Jerry) had problems with Mr. Phillips about how the office was run then he should have addressed that sooner and not just when Mr. Phillips ask for proper funding. Sounds like the commisioners did not even listen to the P.A.'s opion the just shut him up by saying (enough said).

funny how that piece of sh!t Phillips knew what the budget was when he took office but then he decides he needs more money. Seems that the last couple of PAs that held that office never needed a part time PA and they had more of a case load. Mr Phillips had 4 people working in his office so he didn't have to do anything but collect his paycheck. The last three PAs only had two people working for them and they actually worked for their paychecks. Seems obvious to me where the problem was and he resigned. He resigned because Ted resigned, it had nothing to do money or budgeting. He knew he could not do the job himself because he does not know the law very well. Resigning like he did was his way of misleading the public into thinking someone else is at fault which seems to have work with all you people. Maybe he is not so dumb after all

The CC saying publicly that Phillips is a theif. This ain't over yet. This is exactly what Phillips wanted so he could force the commissioners out of office or face an embarrassing legal action. The latest word is him exposing the ALLEGED illegal going ons of the one C.C. place of business that's been going on for years.

That's a big accusation, Vote out commissioners.

Let's review who are commissioners are, what businesses they own.

Bill Kennon is a CPA, owns a business under his name, and also some tax prep place.. is it Liberty Taxes?

David Johnson owns D&D tires.

Jerry Halley owns Jerry's, a gun shop.

So which one is doing illegal things?

I suppose we could just assign a blanket of blame and vote them all out.

In my opinion, Mr. Phillips fell prey to the classic pitfall of thinking he was smarter than the guys who write the checks. He knew what the budget was when he got there, but thought he was savvy enough to negotiate a budget to run the office the way he wanted to. The commissioners are pretty successful in their own lives and didn't realize that success by falling for such shenanigans.

The county is fortunate that Miller has taken the helm at the prosecutor's office. We can breathe easily until the end of 2014. Good riddance to Mr. Philips. That was one worthless individual. All he did was complain about his funding; he knew what he was getting into when he ran for the office. I wish Teddy Thompson well. He did the best he could on a pittance.
