This young man has really embarrassed his father and really ruined the lives of many young people. He has destroyed all the hard work of his father. What gang member or parent is going to listen to Dr.Strong's message when he can't even keep his own son out of a gang. This is really a sad story!

I remember with he's father spoke at my school to the parents and some of my classmates.. i remember him telling a story about a hat he found in his sons room with gang writing and he told his son to leave that mess alone and his son said it wasn't his hate.. this is really a shame..

Do any of you remember The Rev. Franklin Graham in his younger years? He was quite "wild" and a burden on his father's heart. Rev. Billy Graham kept on his message and Franklin eventually turned his life around! I pray for Dr. Strong and for his son, who foolish as he is, has acted out in rebellion.

I'm astonished to see this article on Arma Strong III. I coached Arma in high school as a freshman and he was a great kid. I just hope he has learned his lesson and can get on the right track. Arma is a much brighter kid than his actions show. Sometimes the people we hang around with influence us to do things out of character and that's what I think happened to Arma. If Arma or any of his family happens to read this Coach Jarvis has your full support and will keep your family im my prayers. It deeply saddens me to see this young man involved in such hiddeous crimes but what I hope is that the media does not look at him like any other street thug because he's not. He's a young man who's made some wrong choices and I hope the community assists him and his family in their quest for Arma to show some resiliency and make better choices in the future. My prayers are with you.

parents you need to step up and become involved in your child's lives. You need to know where they are going and with whom they are go . And set boundaries and limits for you child . Just because your child is a teen that you stop being a parent.
This child could have had such a great future and he obviously has a dad that cares and is involved. You all need to open those eyes and watch your child look for changes in behavior or clothes etc signs of gang behavior may be minor but also if spotted could be huge in stopping us from losing our kids to the hands of a gang shooting.

In my opinion, this would be the time for Dr. Strong to step up that much more with his message. It shows he's a human being and just another father who can be plagued by the evils of society just like you or me. It shows that the job isn't done just because he says "Leave that mess alone" and that parenting is a 24-7 commitment. The next message to send is one of loving discipline by not bailing his son out of this mess and instead; let him learn his lessons...

All gang members should be prosecuted under Federal domestic terrorism charges. I dont care who this fool's dad is. You cant even go to a high school football game these days without worrying about some thugs stray bullets. Eventually, society will get fed up with this mess and begin exterminating these idiots once they are proven guilty of these types of crimes.

Franklin turned around to find all the benefits of getting to lead the foolish.

If the gang claim is true, this is the perfect opportunity for A. Strong III to be a man and turn his life around. I hope he does it, but I won't bet money on it!

How about this young man's father spent less time preaching to other people and start being a parent to his child running wild in our society.

I agree and Dr. Strong has always stated that it can affect every household even his own.

Search all of your children for this kind of activity. Look for the signs and who they are hanging around with. If they look like thugs' they will grow up to be one. "HINT" Baggy, offensive clothing. Friends with cars worth $500.00 with $2500.00 wheels on them. Loud music playing with no respect for anyone else. Friends with money and no real honest jobs.

This is really sad. It just goes to show that you can never really know what your children are doing, although Dr. Strong also said he was not immune to the problems in the street regarding his children. I just hope something positive will come of this and that Dr. Strong will continue his work to help young people.

I don't think that is the case at all. When you become a parent you'll understand. Parents these days are lucky to have a child grow up and not be influenced by today's society. The father seems to be doing the right thing. Let's not degrade his parenting skills because of this incident. We should applaud his efforts!

It is your right to believe or reject. My comment was to encourage the believers.

You are absolutely right. Some people are quick to say what someone has done or failed to do, yet they haven't walked in those shoes yet. Maturity and parenthood have made me eat lots of words! LOL

Dr. Strong is all about him self. His webpage shows him recieving his PHD and I have attended many of his workshops and seen numerous typos in his power points and also delt with him on a personal level. Where are all the kids getting out of gangs AV?..... AV is a thug and so is his son....AV and Charles Austin should be thrown out of the city...follow the money and you will find them...
