Don't we pay taxes for 911. So why does the city have to pay more?

I do believe we pay taxes for 911, however I also think they bill each town and fire district based on the number of calls generated to or through 911. Each time the officers stop a car and radio a license check, the dispatchers have to run that info thru the computers. Someone has to pay for that, dah, like you and me. We pay taxes for the Ambulance District too, but when you call for an Ambulance, they charge you per mile and out the ying for using it. Don't understand how we can spend money on a trackhoe and then owe money on 911 services.$40,000 plus for a toy that you never see used. Maybe 911 will shut us off for non payment, just like the city will shut your water off. No Excuses!! NO SOB STORY~~ NONE!!
