I totally understanding banning smoking in county owned buildings. Banning smoking in county vehicles seems a bit extreme to me. I personally am not a smoker, but since smoking tobacco or chewing it isn't illegal yet. Preventing employees that use county vehicles from smoking in the vehicle seems overly governmental. Since to my knowledge and it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong the issue was never brought before the people of Rankin County for a vote.
