THANK YOU, you seem to be hung-up on the teens BAC and condoning the actions of the police officer. An officer who was driving to a burglary call "with a minor on board" while driving 27mph OVER the speed limit and possibly faster. IT'S THIS SIMPLE, police officers should not have MINORS in their police vehicle while on ANY emergency call. The police tried to hide this info and have, more than likely, tampered with other evidence in this investigation.
Youre an idiot. The out come would have been no different if the officer was alone, had a 2 year old, a 20 year old, or a 100 year old in the car with him. And its not like there are any hills through there. You can see plain as day all the way up to the next red light.

Lets put the blame where it belongs. First the guy decided to drive while under the influence and then he decided to try and beat the police officer and cross the road instead of waiting.

Bad situation, but thats what happens when you make decisions while under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs.

We could not place the blame on the guy under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs and look for someone else to blame. Yea thats easier to do. Youre a JOKE and I hope you never need the corrupt law enforcement officers out there. Call a crackhead instead.

"The outcome would have been no different if the officer was alone or not." Whew, i cannot believe you actually stated that. Apparently you are not a parent, for if you were, would you want your child in that police vehicle driving at those speeds? Another thing that seems apparent, you must be a police officer or the spouse of one as you stated, "you can see plain as day all the way up to the next red light". You are looking through the officers eyes instead of recalling what the 19yr old was looking at that night. He was looking through 4 huge concrete bridge columns and a guardrail. I believe the paper also mentioned this was his first trip to Brandon, he was not a resident. This is a very dangerous crossing at best, then you add a police officer who was more than likely distracted(wink) traveling at high speeds; this equals disaster. Possibly the teenager was not accustomed to the excessive speeds these Brandon cops seem to drive daily. Personally, i know for a fact there are some good, honest cops still around; men that will work their job with character & integrity. Unlike the Brandon & RS officers who felt the need to cover up this investigation.

Any why did these officers "feel the need to cover up this investigation"? Only cops that are guilty or hiding something "feel that need". Just who had there hands in this besides the officers? I imagine the first call was made to the Mayor of Brandon, then the ball rolled down hill.

What's more disturbing is the fact that these adult men(COPS) could honestly put all the blame on a 19 year old young man with so little regard to his life & death and close this investigation. They knew their part in this wreck, knew in their hearts what they did, and yet, they can sleep at night. If the mother of this boy would not have pushed so hard for the truth, would anyone ever have known of the cops actions? NO!
