Well - I'm sure the Health Dept will eventually shut some businesses down if the law isn't changed.. It's rediculous for them to say they are protecting the workers in the bars - YES IN HIGH CLASS BARS that also serve food, perhaps the employees there do get a good salary and benefits - BUT NOT IN REGULAR REDNECKhonkey tonk bars like the ones mentioned in paper - SO there is no workers to protect - IF the gamblers quit losing money and the smokers quit smoking - taxpayers will see increase in taxes for the state balances their budget on those two along with taxes on liquor/beer, etc.
What they are doing - should automatically ensure the tobacco company PAYS ALL RELATED MEDICAL connected with the smoking instead of medicare or private insurance. And if someone sues - the health department could be their witness about their addiction. So you think Health Department would do that hahahhehe
