Now I'm a lady? Lol I love it when people think they know who I am! The lady was 74, she could have suffered permanent if she fell on the sidewalk! Then what? Sue the homeowner or the city? I can see her suing the person that hit her, but not the tobacco company. She is just going after them because they have the money. And FYI it's not being nosey if it's public record...

I know Norma personally, so for those of you who think she would just go and do something like this without reasonable cause, understand this: That woman has worked almost every day of her life since she was 10 or 12 years old and still continues to work at 74 years old. And might I add she works HARDER than the majority of the people I know, young and old. I am not exaggerating.

Before you go passing judgment, maybe you should learn something about the person and the situation. She is a good and fair woman. I would even go as far to say that she is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She is also a Christian woman and I've never known her to "work the system" or draw government assistance such as welfare or foodstamps (which is something I can't say about a good portion of residents from Union City. Which is not a slanderous statement, just a simple fact).

M3t4lG0d, you in particular, really need to learn the facts. Norma is a fit, healthy, active 74 year old. You are stereotyping her by making remarks about how she could have hurt herself simply falling on the sidewalk. Let's be clear... ANYONE could hurt themselves falling down if they land the wrong way. Maybe if she was YOUR grandmother you would think differently. Legally the company is liable if the woman was driving one of their vehicles when she hit Norma. If you've got issue with that maybe you should go to your legislator instead of slandering a lady who is following the proper channels to hopefully get what is owed to her.

So basically, stop talking trash about Norma. She does not deserve your smart-ass comments. I'm just glad I came across this. Someone needs to put your uninformed ass in check!
