Flu shots may come to Minnesota schools, other public places

Full story: TwinCities.com

Coordinated flu shot clinics are being planned in Minnesota schools and public buildings this month to counter the threat of H1N1, which sent 182 people to hospitals last week and contributed to at least three more deaths.

We sure got failed again, didn't we? By the time the shots come for those of us adults at high risk, the flu season will be peaked.

Can anyone figure out why an active virus is floating in the air in grocery stores, clinics and other public places?

This is a very good example of why we need a government health care program (across the board for everything) in the United States. No private company could coordinate such a massive program as this. And without this type of program, we could have half of the US wiped out due to a pandemic virus.

Keep crying my Republi-thug friends. It will do no good. Single payer is the only way to effectively deliver the care our citizens need.

This is a failure of the Obama administration. Millions of Americans are getting sick, costing productivity and lives. This is a disaster and Obama carries much of the blame, similar to Bush and Katrina. Of course there is not the same outcry because of the liberal bias in the press.

In addition the the initial Baxter "mistake" (and the other "mistakes" they have made) one should look into the outbreak and deaths that are occurring the the Ukraine.

Joseph Moshe is a person who allegedly broke the story of the link above. Do a search for "Joseph Moshe + Dr True Ott Show" and you'll find some interesting results. I don't think it takes too much to connect the dots.

I admit that some of this seems pretty far out but I can tell you that my tin foil hat is hanging in the closet. Right now, today, me and my family are not taking the vaccine.

Don't just take what Pres. BHO says, or what the media says, or even what the World Health Organization says.

Educate yourselves on this, then make your decision.

My kid just had this flu..shot came too late, but I did recieve a call today from his Dr telling me to still vaccinate him against it as he could get it twice, there is a 15% chance, and the symptoms are much less severe.........I'm choosing not to, and let some other kid have it...anyone ever looked at all the ingredients in those shots?? mercury, squaelene, colors, formaldahyde,(sp?) are all those things really needed in the shots???

You better not feed your kid either. Take a look on the ingredient labels. Or soap or shampoo labels.

Besides.... Its too late anyway. Most of us have already been exposed to H1N1. The govt. just wont let you know that. But, it sure is great for the drug companies and the economy !!

Cool, then explain why Apple can put an iphone in everyone's hands. Sure, Walmart can't manage logistics either. Smarten up, private companies can and do this sort of thing all the time. Waiting on some goof at the government, yeah, that turns out really well. Why, New Orleans showed us that, silly.

Did your doctor do anything to confirm that it was this particular flu? The reason I ask is because hubby & I both just got over a flu. Neither of us ended up going to the doctor. Hubby was lucky and got a prescription. My doctor told me to come in. Because I had already had 3 doctor's appointments for something unrelated that week, I didn't feel like paying one more co-pay so just treated the symptoms. Another reason I chose to not go is because my being out in public would kind of spread it further. I figured if I got to a point where I couldn't treat the symptoms myself, then I'd go. I swear we got this flu years ago. Had I felt like that, I would definitely have gone to the doctor - or better still, hospital. It was like having pneumonia and was hard to breathe. It was many times I woke up in a panic because I couldn't breathe. Looking back, we really should have gone to the doctor at that time.

This mist they're going to be administering - they're physically placing live flu in an area (nostrils) where this flu could easily escape into the atmosphere if you so much as sneeze. It stays live for a while too. Seems to me a shot would be better.

You are joking right? New Orleans was all the result of Bushco & Friends. They are the ones that turned their backs on the people of that town.

If Mr. Obama had been President at that time, people would not have died, or suffered. Mr. Obama would have evacuated the area so that no one was in danger.

And our Health Care system will run just like clock work. This is how you run a country. Not what we all suffered through for the past 8 years.
