Body of Racine man who suffocated found two weeks later

The body of an elderly man who fell out of bed at his Racine apartment and suffocated was discovered about two weeks after he died.

How sad that two whole weeks went by and no one checked on this elderly gentleman. I can only hope and pray that this man did not suffer.

The article stated that his neighbors filed a missing persons report, so apparently some people were looking out for him.

He may not have had any family, either. Some people are actually the last of their family.

Didn't the police when filling out the report search his apartment to see if he fell, hurt, dead or to find out if any thing was missing that might give them a clue.
This is very sad because how long did he lay there suffering....praying for either for help or death.

I hope that after all the hurt and anger on how this was handled that his family & friends can find some peace.

Was his body not visable if they did check his apt?
