WHO CARES.

They need to quit acting like they're doing something worthwhile for mankind because honestly, they're not. The people they're "helping" are pretty well to do to begin with. There's a lot worse things out there to be worried about than not owning real estate.

Habitat really isn't for the helpless anyway. It's for those who already have decent jobs and decent places to live that somehow don't live up to somebody else's shallow standards. So, it's obviously a niche charity (if you can call it that) for a very small group of people.

And really, have you seen the houses they're building? They'e so rinky-dink that they LOWER the value of everybody else's home in the direct vicinity.

I know lol. I live down the road from this particular development. My home value was depreciated by $15,000

if you want to know why we don't want HFH houses around, try doing the research and see how many defaults they have on their "sweat equity mortgages" which basically entails showing up at the building site and kicking some rocks around.

The people they build homes for have never had to actually WORK for anything. It's been handed to them, so they have no concept of taking CARE of anything. It's all disposable to them so they end up foreclosing on their gimme homes or reselling them to any & all comers. If it's not a crackhead who moves in next door, it will be the 2nd around.

The houses are usually abused worse than most rentals, torn up, and then abandoned without second thought because there was no sense of achievement involved.

THAT is why I don't want CrackHouses for Humanity building around me.

Sincerely, me and at least three others who live in the vicinity if this development.

why the hell does the road going out to this thing have a double yellow line and white shoulder lines? It's a dead end road servicing a handful of houses, not a highway.

The reason why the road is striped is because the county road commission required it.

That is the dumbest freaking thing I've ever heard. There's no logical reason that it should be striped.
