Inmate Files Lawsuit Against Pueblo County

I'm sure that they'll take a look at the procedures that we have in place and that we had in place during the period of time of the allegation. An inmate has filed a lawsuit against Pueblo County, claiming Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputies abused him and didn't do enough to stop him from escaping. via KRDO-TV Colorado Springs

Leave it to Pueblo to find notoriety on national TV with something like this ridiculous lawsuit. Brit Hume, on Fox cable news, found this so amusing that he found time for a 30 second sound bite relating that the inmate was filing a lawsuit against the Pueblo county for not having a secure enough facility to keep him in jail. I'm not sure what this does for Pueblo's image. Does it mean that more criminals with come to Pueblo (as if we don't have enough now) because it's easy to get out of jail?

No, bonehead--it means that the legal system has gotten to be so crazy, that even a moron inmate who escaped twice and caused his own injury in doing so can file ( an unsuccessful) lawsuit and tie up the courts.
