That's hilarious "North Side Mayor"!! Haha, but before you past judgement on people please evaluate your comment prior to posting. For starters you can't even spell simple words like "maybe" or "rentals". Second of all it's pretty obvious that your white with the "Go back to Mexico" comment, which is completely ignorant! And Last but not least your probably someone who doesn't like Tony or is jealous of him!!Get a LIFE!

Not passing "judgement" or anything... But as you said in your 1st comment "before you past judgement on people please evaluate your comment prior to posting." (shouldn't that of been pass instead of past?) So curiousity got me on your 2nd comment.. "They are obviously are not a part of society"
Just wanted to point out your mistake, since you take pride in pointing out others.

Correction. On my prior comment.
These idiots are a part of society however from a negetive prospective. They should be behind bars and excluded from society for putting this crap on our streets!!

Amen to that BST!! What is that saying & correct me if I'm wrong... You do the crime, you do the time! The sad thing is, the way our D.A.'s office is, they will probably get slapped on the hand & let back out on the streets & pick up right where they left off.:(

Hey, scooter!

Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Its because of them "rentals" you have a roof over your head. If you are so unhappy, have HUD(housing urban developement transfer you to a different home. Or you can get a job and start paying rent, in which you can move anywhere you like!

You have options.....

p.s. Let me know if you need resources...

Thanks scooter

Hey Scooter,Might want to do your homework.. Hasn't the NS Mayor been a resident of Lamar for like 40 yrs?? I never seen him in the paper for criminal acts B4.. Now DANA GOMEZ, who is in this article is a "CLASS ACT" and I look fwd to her and her buddies getting locked up for good. Also you might not want to let the recent controversary regarding undocumented hispanics allow you to make bold comments ("GO BACK TO MEXICO"). Doesn't a mayor have to be a Citizen? I am pretty sure Tony is just that so I guess he has as much right as you do to be in the US. The only difference is that he pays thousands of dollars in taxes each year and you probably cost paytaxers money. Check the facts...I'm just saying. Nation1814 you couldn't be more right. Scooter is probably one of those blood sucking leeches that hounds Tony for money every Friday.:-) Have a good day Scootie!!!!

A bit off topic folks. Keepingitsimple, it's not just the Da's office that lets these people out. Remember it's the judges that lower bonds and have the final say it the case goes to trial. I bet they get a crappy plea since the Da's office knows it's better then what they will get from the judge. Happens all the time here, like someone I know who has prior convictions for selling dope while on parole. He gets the hard sentence of doing the rest of his first conviction sentence, something like a year remaining. Geezz no wonder the dope heads keep on selling dope, they have to be convicted 5 times before they actually go away.

Geeezzzz...I agree with that, but the problem I seem to see over & over again here in Lamar, is alot of these cases don't even make it to the Judge. I guess it's easier on everyone (paperwork)if they keep just slapping them on the hands. Job security I guess! lol!

For all the idiot's that feel the need to pin all the illegal drug trade in Lamar on Mexicans; Dana is white. Pendejos!!! There are plenty of people in each race commiting these crimes. Why do you always feel the need to send them back to Mexico. Before you make a idiotic comments like this try reading the Guadelupe Hidalgo Treaty. The U.S. signed this treaty with Mexico after attacking and annexing the southwest from the Mexican government. We have the right to be here; it is written in the Treaty. But, like all the other promises the government made to the Mexican government, they have not been kept. If any of you are Christians, shame on you, believe it or not God's creations are all equal...see ya

Selah1954, I think your history is a bit off. The treaty gave the mexican people living in the region at the time the right to become citizens. So unless you can trace your history back to a relative living in the annexed territories at the time, the right of citizenship does not apply.

"Mexican territory, prior to the secession of Texas, comprised almost 1,700,000 square miles, which was reduced to just under 800,000 by 1848. Another 32,000 were sold to the United States in the Gadsden Purchase of 1853, for a total reduction of more than 55%, or 900,000 square miles.[50] The annexed territories, comparable in size to Western Europe, were essentially unsettled, containing about 1,000 Mexican families in Alta California and 7,000 in Nuevo México. A few relocated further south in Mexico; the great majority remained in the United States."

"Descendants of these Mexican families have risen to prominence in American life, such as United States Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, and his brother, U.S. Rep. John Salazar, both from Colorado."

This does not sound like anyone arrested does it? Also if the United States government was so horrible, they would have kept all the land down to and including Mexico City when the American flag was raised over the capital. Humm, something to think about.

ANYONE who goes through the process to become a citizen deserves the RIGHT to be here. Unless you do so, no matter where you are from, you dont have a RIGHT to be here. Yes, we are all created equal, but as such we all have the same moral obligation to follow Christian ideals, being a criminal and selling dope is not one of them.

The land was purchased, not stolen as you elude to.

The people who have condemned the four alleged drug dealers and Tony are the cristians I was referring to. If you have read the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty you would know the U.S. did not honor the agreement so it is invalid. Look up Reyes Lopez Tijerina, the federal marshals arrested him and gave him a labotomy, for having the guts to challenge th American Government on the validity of th Treaty. Food for thought; when did God give any one person the authority to keep another of God's creations from walking and settling on this earth. The belief of the indiginous people of this land is " We have immigrated from nowhere for we have always been" Your laws are not God's laws. To bad you have been brainwashed to believe the European way of life not God's way of life. Try reading your own Bible it gives the answers you need. Selling alcohol to God's creation is just as bad as drugs... see ya

"Tijerina is still alive, living in El Paso, Texas after about a year in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico where he moved in April 2006. After a fire claimed his New Mexico house in 1994, Tijerina moved to Uruapan, Michoacán, where he married for the third time. He presented his archival materials to the University of New Mexico on October 19, 1999. On November 5 of the same year, he met with senior staff of then-Governor of Texas George W. Bush's administration about land issues. A translation of his memoirs, previously only available in a 1978 Spanish version published by Mexico's Fondo Cultural Economico, was published in 2000."

Do you mean that Reyes Lopez Tijerina? Seems he is doing well for having a lobotomy. I would love to continue this conversation, but it seems it has taken a direction a bit off point, and you seem to suffer from delusions.
