Fluvanna real estate tax increased this year (or at least mine)
Comcast had a rate increased
CVEC increased about 25 - 28%
My health insurance increased about 11%
Food increased another 3%
and the list goes on and on

I'm retired, So where's my extra money to donate to the county?

Here's your chance you tax happy liberals who insist that we don't pay enough taxes. Here's your chance to put your money where your mouth is.

I kinda like this idea though I wouldnt give an extra cent under its current structure .

Make this so i can choose where the money goes like the United Way does and I am all in .

But I will not do this if the money goes where it always goes ... to the useless parasites lined up living off the taxpayer .

New police cruisers , technology to schools like that news program the kids are doing over that way or helping elderly and veterans ..... Sign me up .

The counties should also be looking into letting people donate land to the county but lock it down like in a trust where its used by the community for gardens or farmers markets or something and cared for and maintained by the comminity .... not another governemnt job to eat up the value it offers back .

Hey, can we bring this to Charlottesville? Maybe all those bleeding hearts who feel so much compassion for the panhandlers and the people in public housing who don't pay rent, can open up their wallets so the working class citizens of the city don't get taxed to death by city council.

I work full time and gas is still going up I have no more money
but people from the north come down here to live they have money and this is nothing for them.. still have no clue why they come down here and want taxes to go up
In New York a 1bedroom 1 bath is $315,000 well down here you can get a nice 4bed 3bath for that much

We need to eliminate all these outsiders and especially northerners from coming into the area and ruining our lifestyle....outsiders make it extremely hard on the people who are bred, born and raised in this area to exist.....look at charlottesville...full of liberturds...can't find a tradesperson living within the city limits because of all the outsiders coming in and running the cost of living up.....AND it is WAY PAST TIME for local governments to find other ways of raising revenue than on the pocketbooks of property owners....jmho

Then again, maybe this idea will allow the members of "Save Our Schools" to donate all their money to support the schools. Then the rest of the taxpayers won't have to pay for world-class facilities for someone else's kid.
