Believe me, please do your research before you talk to Barrett Xplore. Otherwise known as "Xplornet".
Xplornet has earned every bit of the poor reputation it has.
Unless you are living in a city and can get Wireless internet, you really aren't going to get reliable service.
Xplornet does not guarantee it's speeds.
Customers of Xplornet experience slow dial up speeds and it's not due to the "Weather" or "Router" or your "PC" or any other troubleshooting technique/result.
Be smart and do your research.
Just looking out for the public's best interest.

I totally agree with "Ex Employee". We bought into it before doing our own research and are terribly disappointed with the service. We phoned to complain about the slow speed (similar to dial-up) and were told that our new $700 Satellite service was not supposed to be any faster than dial-up, it was just supposed to free up our phone line (would have been nice if they would have offered that info before we bought it).
