Prettty pathetic when a scum bag can kill a young girl and her 4 y/o son, and the report tells of how he was such a good person. says nothing of her and child. this jerk beat them to death with a baseball bat. a woman and her child... he was not a nice guy. sorry for all you dissappointed people who worked with him, and knew him... but he is the lowest form of life their is... this guy worked with children, and was capable of using a bat, and beating a 4 year old boy to death. i dn't want to hear how he was this and that... he is nothing...scum.... deserves no pity or words of kindness in any sense. a woman and a 4 year old boy are dead! People,... think before you print a story. Thiss girl was what, 24.. 25... oh i don't know, for sure, only roughly because i had the pleasure of meeting her and working with her... but you failed to mention in the story anything about her. but made the point to mention what a shame this wonderful teacher... think people. this sickens me!!

First i just want to say that i give my full condolences to laura casteel and her family and any one that this effected,Laura was a great person and i dont want to center the attention around the him the man that did that was not MR.D though, something must of got in his body and did this, that man WASSSS a great man and taught me and all my friends that went to Bruceton and apart of his basketball team great leadership, respect and qualities, and for him to do this it almost just erases evrything that i have learned from him and my whole middle school experince because that was how much of an influence he was for kids that went to Bruceton, he was the man so called the "cool teacher" he was 29 goin on 15 like the rest of the kids and there for we looked up to him and could talk to him about anything not just pertaining to school and baffled that he really did this, that is the last person in this world i would ever think to do such a haneous crime like this, that just goes to show you never know what the other person is thinking

I just want to say that I was one of Lori's friends. She was the nicest girl you'd ever wanna meet. And Collin was the cutest!!They did not deserve to die.No matter what the situation was.How could anyone possibly hurt a child?Or anyone at that. The sad thing is,the man also has kids of his own.NOT A NICE MAN!!!I dont care who says he was nice.Apparently hidden deep inside of him was a murderer.Remember,Lori was pregnant. So he should be charged with 3 murders.Putting it nicely he really deserves the death sentence!!!!!!!!!!

I do believe that he deserves the death sentence but not in the way that our society does it. He should have done to him what he did to them but one limb at a time.
No one deserves to go like that. I just can't seem to put in words what an animal he was, and to be a teacher is unreal. I am a mother of two girls that loved the two victims and was looking forward to baby Angela coming into this world. They as well as everyone that Lori and Collin touched loved them so.
What is this world coming to? You don't know who you can trust, where you can go, and what's around the next corner. It is like you cannot relax, you have to be on your guard with your entire life to feel safe and that still wouldn't keep you safe enough. I worry sick about my kids and they are adults but you just never know when someone is going to lose it and they be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

After hearing testimony from a state trooper and one of Lori's friends the judge ruled there was "probable cause" to send the case to the grand jury. He will be held at Tygart Valley Regional without bond until then. No date has been set. Hope that helps.

I know he goes to the grand jury in June. As soon as anyone finds out what date please let us all know. We need to all stand up and speak for Lori. We need to make sure this monster pays. We need to change the way the media reports. Alot of the media you can email the actual reporters, maybe if they get enough emails we could make a change in the world. Just takes a few seconds to send all the reporters a message stating "Tell the victims story not the monsters." Please take the time.
