Good riddens. An out of control judge with bazar and inconsistent sentences.

I am overjoyed to hear he has stepped down!!! Judge Fred Avera unjustly tore my family apart. I left a physically/emotionally abusive, alcoholic husband and took my 2 young boys with me. I had witnesses, letters, and a 17yr old son from prev relationship, testify in tears to all the abuse he endured and witnessed growing up. Judge Avera decided in his unjust mind that I was lying and discredited my witnesses and my son. He gave this monster of an ex FULL custody of my 2 young boys. We were DEVISTATED. My boys struggle emotionally not being able to have a healthy relationship with me, Thier father will not allow them to get counseling. My 14yr old began cutting himself and has become depressed, my 7yr old has cried out so many times only to be ignored. My 19yr old is in couseling, thank God. but continues to struggle daily with emotional damage. I, needless to say, struggle with depression, anger and confusion everyday. Thanks to (former) Judge Fred Avera for tearing our family to pieces and causing horrendous damage to my innocent children. THANK GOD HE IS NO LONGER IN THE POSITION TO DO THIS TO ANY ONE ELSE!!!!!
