Salesman got a bonus plus salesprick of the month.

But, seriously, dealerships practically give away
oil changes, safety inspections, "free" tire ratations...etc....

in order to get fresh fish thru the door for their
sales staff to get their hooks into. That is why they show up everyday.

It's certainly not to take any crap from
someone like me.

But, some people (buyers) are overwhelmed by the power of persuasion from the sales sluts who work
primarily on commission. No sale, no money.

And still some buyers just can't say no because
they "don't want to cause any trouble"......
yup, they are afraid to say no.
So they agree
to something they really don't want to do to
make the immediate situation go away.

But it doesn't. It's called "Buyers Remorse".

Sales managers literally lose their minds over this. All that high pressure sales training
into the toilet.

The customer changes their mind. Because the salesman didn't properly close the sale. Like
making sure the correct product lines up with
the customer....or convince them why it is correct.

If the woman doesn't like the purchase, and if it's within the three day (or what ever the time
limit is) return policy,

they should return her money and make this
bad publicity go away.

My good guess is this is not this lady's first rodeo. Some people are terrible customers and
dealers would be wise to pass them up.

Just not worth the pain in the neck and
throbing vein in the forehead.....

.....Or your name in the paper.

They'll do it again . Sales are too few now.

What I'd do is let the salesperson invest an hour of their time, then say, "Nahhhhhhhhhh!" when it came time to sign on the dotted line.

I have a car dealership in mind for that particulr scenario , just need to let some time pass so they don't recognize me when I walk in.

I walked out the last time I went there after the "add-ons" were applied in the financing department.

I guess things are a little different in my neck of the woods.
A few weeks ago I was looking at new trucks. In two dealerships, I actually had to hunt down a sales person. No pressure whatsoever. It was kind of strange, but in a good way.
As an aside, I did a heck of alot of research and narrowed my choices to just a few makes/models.
Oh, if Consumer Reports doesn't give a vehicle a good rating, I won't give it a second look.
It's amazing what crappy vehicles are manufactured and that people stll buy them.

Another thing I do is tell the salesperson, "You get 1 shot at this, don't give me a line of shiznit, just give me the best price, and if I don't get up and walk out, we're moving in the right direction." I've had 2 of them walk beside me all the way to my car, talking as fast as they could.

The buyer has the upper hand, and too many consumers have forgotten that.

How in the world did this lady get a license? She obviously doesn't remember the 20 plus documents she had to sign?

I know some car salesmen too...The vast majority pay their bills, go to our church and have clean records- Just making a living like the rest of us. What we have got is a lady that had buyers remorse and looking for a loophole because that is the way our society has become.
