They need to change out the bands.
Same old groups, same old sad songs.
Nobody else can get in the Frank H show.

I disagree totally. Frankie Hilburn is not only an excellent musician but he goes out of his way to showcase the local talent we have in this area. He also has a heart of gold -- he coordinates and promotes so many of the benefits for the sick and needy in this area. Wayne Sanders is also an excellent musician. You people don't know how to appreciate what you have right here in Polk County. Sad.

And not have the dang thing in that hole - God forbid when it rains! That area is too small and parking sucks!

While I'm at it, the city needs to fix the sidewalk around the senior center - a child was hurt really badly on the piece of broken concrete and I think they just try to fill it in with sand.

Why in the hell do you have a festival in the middle of the Summer when it is 110 degrees outside? Why not just have the fireworks display and move the festival to the fall of the year?
How about actually having something to do at the festival besides buying overpriced shaved ice and stale funnel cakes?
How about actually opening the venue to bands of all genre rather than the same old crap each year and the entire day of gospel music, WTH?
The vendors offer junk that you can find at any given fleamarket, which too is overpriced.
I think someone needs to rethink this festival and upgrade it, the only thing that sucks worse than it is the Aragon BBQ.

You are soooooo right! Wanna bet SouthernMusicMan is actually a member of Southern Thunder? They are so jealous of other bands. There is plenty of room for everyone. Frankie does many shows for nothing, simply because he does have a heart of gold. Can't say that for many of the others....

I agree, a fall festival would be so much nicer, not in 110 degree heat. I also agree that a better selection of bands and food would be nice. I guess we all need to take it up with the Polk Chamber of Commerce. They put the event on if in fact they would entertain the idea. ;)

Nope, not a musician just a music lover. Just would like some new stuff to listen to while sitting there all day.

Same to you. Don't "sit there all day" (and why would you if it's so bad??) Just stay home and give the rest of us a break!

Sure would love to but have responsibilities that requires me to be there all day, and I'm not just "sitting there all day".
And what I do doesn't require you to have a break.
This is a forum so all are welcome to reply.

And I thought the term "sitting there all day" was a better statement than going into details of my days there that wasn't anyones business.
