I knew this cat back 1991 or 92 and back then he had fame for harassing female officers.

Unfortunately, many of the "Officers" who were able to get hired during West's reign, still remain gainfully employed at the Haines City Police Department. I'm talking about people who would have a hard time getting hired at Wal-mart, what with their background issues and overall ineptitude. Some of whom were actually promoted to positions of authority and higher responsibility such as Corporal, Sergeant, Detective, etc. Unfortunately, these people still remain and still carry a badge and a gun over at the Haines City Police Department. While I applaud the work of the State Attorney's Office, I believe that unless the entire house is fully cleaned, the Haines City Police Department will continue to be an embarassment to the citizens of Polk County. My brief tenure at the HCPD horrified me enough to last a lifetime. When the bad far outweigh the good, you know you have a serious problem on your hands.

Have they hired a new Police Chief? They need a tough cop that knows the Internal Affairs process and enjoys putting BAD COPS in jail!!!

Its been a while since I looked back into the HCPD since I left in the early 90's. I graduated the academy with Stewart at PCC and worked with West who was a Detective then. I always got along with West. On the other hand Stewart was an A-- long before he became a cop. Smart mouth been there done that kind of guy. I had no respect for him. Tom Wheeler must have seen some good in him to hire him. I know this is a an old post but what ever happened to Buster Raggs and Maggard? I know Buster was in some trouble at an apartment complex he managed. You can send me an email.
