Haines City Parks & Recreation, along with more than four dozen sponsors, will be hosting its annual main event, Thunder on the Ridge at Lake Eva Park, from noon to 9 p.m. in celebration of Independence Day on Sunday, July 4 with attendance expected to be in the thousands, so visitors are encouraged to come early and bring lawn chairs.
