This patient was actually admitted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He already was suicidal. Why was he able to leave the hospital just like that? The primary care RN shound have noticed him gone from his hospital bed. He should have been placed on a 5150 hold because he IS suicidal, having had overdosed himself already, hence his hospital admission. This patient should have been put on one-on-one staffing for his suicidal tendencies. His death should have been prevented ... he leaves behind his wife and 2 young daughters because of poor hospital policies.
