Frommer denied public defender again

The 9th Judicial District defender's office has denied Peter Frommer's reapplication for a court-appointed attorney, and prosecutors will have to wait another month for his oft-delayed plea in the case.

Frommer, who is facing 33 felony charges related to an alleged spree of fraud and bad-check writing in Aspen last December, previously withdrew an application for a public defender. At that time, he said he feared financial disclosures on the application might incriminate him.
