I think that just because someone got killed doesnt mean that we have to kill another living creature. the reason that the tiger killed the women is because it was hungry which is her fault because she didnt feed him. im sorry that im accusing the women but im just saying people in general.

I agree with you. Tiger was hungry and food went in to the cage freely. Tiger eat food.

I think it is sad that this cat attacked and killed Cynthia but we do not have the facts and may never know what happened. The media often is not quick to get the facts. Was this tiger female or male? A 350-400 pound female is what a lot of healthy female Bengals may weigh. I have heard the cat was anywhere from 260-550 lbs in weight. I do not think the cat in the photo is 400 pounds. I would guess maybe 260-270lbs, but then again I do not claim t be an expert. I am just looking at the persons shoes and feet next to the body. It's not a huge animal. Again we do not have the facts yet.

Having spent much time around my cousin and her cats, even I knew that this particular cat was very aggressive and had been violent in the past. Cindy knew what she was doing and had worked with big cats as well as wolves, wolverines and other wild animals most of her life. Perhaps I am defensive because I'm her cousin, but she'd have given the animal to someone else if she couldn't feed him. It wasn't about her... it was about the animals. She apparently made a mistake and he someone unlatched the gate. He knew her... and knew he could get to her. As Rush Limbaugh says, "A tiger is a tiger." She died doing something she loved.... but we still miss her.

Some are eager to blame the woman as though she wanted or deserved to be eaten by a tiger. How would you feel about a tiger that killed and ate a member of your family? A tragic incident is what it is.

i feel really bad about what happen to her, if she wasnt feeding the tiger, she shouldve never went in the cage with him. but then again she didnt know that the gate between the tiger and her was open. i feel that she didnt deserve it, it was a freak accident that happens with these kinds of wild animals. things happen but she loved animals so much, she paid the ultimate price.

I knew Cindy and she was a caring loving person.
She loved her animals and would never let them go hungry.

it doesnt matter, wild animals are suppossed to be in the wild not held in cages. these people are freaks thinking they can have a wild animal as a pet, their just messed up in the head, thinking that their special because they can handle a wild animal but its bull. none of them have a connection with that animal. their just holding them in captivity, thats abuse, they need to be where they belong. people like that are messed up in the head, and so are the people that agree with them. its like putting you in jail. how do you like that. there are some stupid people in this world.

well she did and because of her an innocent animal had to die. she just needed something to make her feel good about her self which killed an innocent animal. how stupid.

I still feel bad for her,I watched a show about it and it made me sad for her.She thought she was doing the right thing. Everyone is different but,I would not keep big cats or wild animals. But, Iam not going to knock her because she did. The thought of her son knowing that the tiger killed her, has to be really hard on him.To me it sounds like the tiger would have killed again. You can't save all of the wild animals. She thought she was doing the right thing. She made a mistake! Everyone makes mistakes. She loved the tigers so much she gave her life!

Alot of these were animals that she rescued from other people and they had never been in the wild, they did not know how to take care of themselves. She was a shelter just like the Humane Society except for bigger animals. Idiot you have no idea what you are talking about..

It was a cage in a cage and the inner cage was left open. Her cages were also in sheds so that you could not see or mess with them. She used her tigers for teaching and movies as well. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed.

Thank You
How was the cage enclosure set up. Even if the inner cage is closed. How could she get in the cage without being with the tiger.
On the tv documentary, the tiger was jumping up, and people were outside the cage. Did she have to open 1 door to get in and then another door to get inside cage. Where would tiger be at this point. Couldn't see that cage was left open. Thanks

Yes, it was a large cage with a door to enter into a small area and then another door that would let you enter in with the tiger. She may have known it was open we will never know. But she worked with her tigers daily and used them for teaching and different learning oppertunities. She respected them but was not afraid of them. This was a terrible thing for both her and her Tiger.

Thank You Shelly
I read that she was an educator and helped so many people.
At least the first door was locked so tiger had no chance to escape.

She was doing what she thought was best and was killed by the tiger by accident. I felt bad for everyone involved, especially her family!
