Haha at milk and bread--- It JUST so happens that I actually have some because I wanted to make PB&J for work this week and I have tons of milk because I have a 2 yr old at home--- I guess now I have to do the other typical GA thing and buy a space heater.

forget the milk and bread, what about: beer and condoms, wine and cheese, popcorn and a movie, etc. I am sure we can all live without milk and bread for a day, but since the other choices may mean some fun - why not.

LMAO Aint that the truth...but dont forget the bottles of water.
Its amazing to go look at the shelves at the grocery store after the "weather men" (crocks) say the word snow.
We haven't seen the crap in years.....not enough to keep us in and have nothing to eat so stop the madness. And if it does snow.....I will pose naked in the snow doing a snow angel. Swear on it. but it must be atleast 3 inches deap....I dont want to get grass in my ***

I lived in Baton Rouge most of my life and when a hurricane even looked like it would come that direction as soon as you would see that on a forecast, the store would be emptied -- not just milk and bread (which I think milk is a stupid thing to buy unless it's not refrigerated), but everything else known to man.

I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, but still people overreact to this stuff all the time.

Since I moved here I've noticed another irony. The last time we did have signficant icing where I live (which is near Millcreek HIgh) it was really dangerous to drive, etc, but yet school went on. I understand that if the county gets out of school that part of the county may not have severe conditions but better to err on the side of safety.

I am hoping for school closings since I am a teacher and would really enjoy the day off! The kids would too!:) Plus, it is dangerous to have all those kids on the road when there is ice out there.

I hate snow days because I am one of the minority that still has to go to work. I am not worried about my abilities to drive in it since I was born and raised in the north, but I really fear all the idiots who think they can drive above the speed limit on a slick surface. So please...all of you stay home!!!

I am also from the North, but the difference in driving in snow/sleet here and up there is not only the drivers, but also the fact that up north the salt trucks are out within minutes. Here there is none. That's why I hate driving in weather like this in the South, not only because of the drivers.

Actually , People from the SOUTH drive our roads better ... They are use to the ICE of the south not just the Snow of the North ..

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Libra

If you live with other people you have to resign yourself to the fact that you all want to do different things today. The more you urge togetherness, the more everyone will be determined under tonight's Full Moon to do their own thing even if it creates problems. Try to play this down as much as possible because it's also a lunar eclipse and getting angry won't solve anything; it may even make the situation worse. Maybe this is a chance for you to do what you want for a change, too? Anyway, enjoy yourself tonight, Libra because you deserve it!
