Have you ever drove a big rig while pulling two trailers? Have you ever it black ice? Just as I thought. These driver's can not help it if the trailer's hit black ice when the tracker does not. Just because the tractor does not hit the ice, does not say that the trailer will not. It is just like when you are walking with some right next to you. You do not walk on a patch of ice and the person walk with does. That is the way it is with the big rig's. I just wish that people would stop saying that it is ALWAYS the person driving the big rig's. It is not. 90% of the time it is the little truck's or guy in the car that cause the truck to wreck. So just slow down and give the person in the tractor the right's that you give the guy in the car. Big truck driver rule. With out them one would or have a nice Christmas or anything.
Are you crazy?

Mostly all big rig truck drivers and big-pick-up drivers
drive like they own the road.
Yes I am a driver who drives 60 mph in the outside lane.
If I am driving the spped limit I don't have to move over.
Why should I help someone break the law and drive faster.
The law says drive the speed limit. So I do.
It does not say drive the speed limit in one lane
and all other lanes you can do what hell you want.
SO SLOW DOWN!

I drive for FedEx and I can attest to the fact that we have a very stringent screening process for hiring drivers. I do not doubt that some drivers fail to allow for road conditions, but for the most part we do and to say that ALL truck drivers are bad is like saying all car drivers are bad...not true. I have (in my experience) come across more dangerous car/pickup truck drivers than semi drivers. The licensing process alone weeds out alot, unlike getting a regular license. As far as the comment that split speed limits were safer, I wrote a college paper that proved that split speed limits were less safe, causing more accidents (cars rear ending slower trucks).

I would just like to say, let's share the road.

why don't you guys get to the point and just shoot the driver. no one is allowed a mistake?. I don't have any nailholes on my hands. you are all so perfect. Does any one even know what caused this accident as you are calling it. did the driver have to stop suddenly to avoid killing an inconsiderate person in their car who didn't put on a turn signal because they were talking on the phone or staring at their gps . maybe he was traveling at a safe speed and someone pulled in front of him without thinking. all I know is after 2.5 million miles and 24 years of safe accident free driving I have saved countless lives of car drivers who don't have the slightest clue that THEY had even done anything wrong. Before you complain walk a mile in the shoes of an american trucker
