I seen your write up on the accident involving a Pearl River Co. Sheriff and wanted to say that the information you got makes this seem like a minor accident. When I got to the scene the van was upside down and my 10 year little girl was laid out on one side of the van and my wife on the other. My Mother in law was in the bottom of the upside van. My 10 year old and my Mother in law was air lifted to forrest county hospital. My wife and my 10 year old will be laid up for sometime. My mother in law is still in the hospital with 3 broke ribs , broke collar bone and her arm was broke in 4 places. She had to have surgery yesterday. I wouldn’t call that moderate injuries. Thank God that my 10 month old is ok. The driver information exchange form I have shows that the officers drivers license was expired at the time of the accident. She was hit in the side with enough impact to flip the car. And I will add that when I asked the officer what happen he reply that he went to hit the brake and hit the gas but I don't believe that story either. If there was brake failure and he wasn’t speeding (he said he was doing about 40 when he hit the van speed limit is 35) he should have had many options besides what happened. This officer need to be responsible for what he did he was preoccupied doing something.

Sue their ass. Picayune and Pearl River County Police have been getting away with being crooked for many and many years.Time to do something.Knowing the two departments I am Surprised the flipped vehicle wasn't cited for failure to maintain on top of it all. Well Good luck Cheryl.

I agree with the previous post. Sue these crooked ones! Pearl River County Police/deputies only look out for the rich in the area. Victoria Lumpert lives in Poplarville, MS and was involved in a Fatal Hit and Run in Hattiesburg, MS. This woman owns in a nice home/ranch in Poplarville. After Victoria Lumpert hit the victim in her truck she drove to her ranch in Poplarville. This woman did not even stop to help the victim or call 911! A Crimestoppers Alert had to go out for them to arrest her the next day. Victoria Lumpert drove back to Hattiesburg to her hair salon (Hair Tropics) like nothing happened the next day when the police arrested her. Victoria Lumpert's drivers license was revoked as part of her bond. Poplarville was notified that she was still driving without a license. Do you think they would do anything about a woman still driving without a license that was involved in a Fatal Hit and Run? NO! Pearl River County is not dare going to bother one of they're wealthy neighbors. Her husband is about 22 years older than she is and you can get that picture.... Found herself a wealthy husband and had him put his ranch in her name in a trust! I guess Victoria Lumpert will enjoy her cocktails by her pool in Poplarville this summer until her trial comes up in Hattiesburg. Everyone seems to forget about the victim. Pearl River deputies would never pull her over if she was drinking and driving. They all stick together in that area! Watch out if you get close to Stanford Lake Road. Watch out for a Brown Toyota Tacoma Truck with a bleach color blond driving with Pearl River Tags. I am sure she used her husband as an excuse to get her drivers license back since he is older. Most likely made like she needed a license to take him to the doctor or some BS. A citizen without money would never have this happen or get the treatment that this Lumpert woman receives in Pearl River County. I would hate for someone else to get hurt by this woman and she shows no remorse. Rumor has it she has herself a nice boyfriend in Hattiesburg. I wonder if the rumor is true but the point is Picayune and Pearl River County are very crooked! Shame on Poplarville!

Why would you write "Lumbert" when, after reading your other post, you spelled the name correctly ("Lumpert")? Again, do you have a dog in this fight or are you concerned about the Brun family?

Bill, it is called a typographical error, sorry. No, I do not have a "dog in this fight". I wasn't even aware this was a dog fight or any type of fight for that matter. Like I have said before, I do not know the woman or the Brun family. I only want to see justice served. Of course I am concerned for the Brun family and any family who has suffered the lose of a loved one. The only reason I even posted was that it has been almost a year and I have not read anywhere that the Lumpert case has gone to court yet.
