Family files suit in death of Outagamie County Jail inmate Curtis Heino

The family of deceased Outagamie County Jail inmate Curtis Heino filed a lawsuit Monday claiming the county and a jail nurse's negligence caused his death.

hopefully this will cause changes in the way a sick inmate is responded to. To my understanding the guards thought he was fakeing illness which in my opinion is verbal or mental abuse. This opens up a whole new area of neglect because jail personel have very little if any training or classes on mental health. If anyone has dealt with the jail they know what I mean.I am soory for family to have lost a loved one & to feel so helpless when they asked for help.

Things haven't changed much. My fiancee is in the Outagamie county Jail, He is bi-polar & the nurses there are not giving his meds as perscribed. They skip his evening meds & instead of getting a check up like he is soposed to they just double his morning dose of Depakote witch he is soposed to have moniored because of what it does to the liver. They just randomly decided to take him off one med. & he went through withdrawls, then after the withdrawls were done they put him back on the same med. again. Sounds to me like they really need to get rid of the high school drop outs they call nurses up there & get someone who knows what they are doing. Before tragedy strikes again. God Bless You All...

I just got out of thier and I know of weveral people not getting proper care. I went through terrible withdrawl and they would not even give me my blood pressure medication for a week then decided not to give me another 7 medications because they said my counts were off. someone needs to help to file a class action lawsuit against this county they almost killed me twice I am disabled and also have bipolar and many physical problems they neglected any kind of care this has gone way too far!
